I wonder though, why were Ninjas banned? Are they that awesome and broken an archetype?
Ninjas are a very difficult deck to deal with for one, as mibuchiha mentioned, is their traps along with the combination of safe zone on white dragon ninja leaves ur opponent with only the option trap negation effects like jinzo or bouncing the safe zone with effects like brionac. Even if you manage to get a monster or card with such an effect by time it is of any use the backrows are loaded with negaters or stuns like dark bribe, divine wrath, fiendish chain, or in hand effect veiler. On top of that the deck (only essentially needing white dragon, hanzo, or optional sazanks) is EXTREMELY versatile in a way the T.G.'s are. Worst of all is the advantage they gain from using super ninja transformation which minuses you a monster, and them a monster(your big beaters or BLS for example) but leaves them with what is likely to be a white dragon ninja, who is not exactly the funnest monster to play against, or any other monster that meets the limits of the cards effect. So yes, ninjas are pretty awesome but not quite as consistent as inzektor or wind-ups, though are incredibly versatile.
