Artists to commision for original stories???

Can you pay an eromanga artist to illustrate an erotic story that you have written? I've realized that I have a lot of sexy stories from my youth that could be fictionalized and I would love to have that done in an eromanga style format.

I don't know about the Japanese eromanga artist scene, but you're probably most likely to find someone willing to work with you by reaching out to people directly on social media with proposals.

Many artists have their own stories that they work on, so you need to meet someone that is willing to illustrate such ideas that aren't their own. Maybe they're interested in the practice or just don't have many original ideas and are looking to expand their skill.

I say, just look at some independant 18+ artists, check their profiles if they're specifically taking commissions, and if they are then ask them if they would be willing to illustrate your story. Then you can work out details from there if they show interest. Ask them what they feel is fair compensation and don't argue with them. It takes a long time and a lot of hard work to create an illustration, much less an entire manga's worth of a story, so if you cannot afford what they ask for, just thank them for considering it and move on to someone else.

That really depends on where you can find artists that match styles with what you envision treating your stories with the most accuracy and care, but I would certainly recommend looking on Twitter since it has the largest pool and concentration of artists, and browsing certain hentai or commission tags for people that have the +18 label in their bio, then looking down their posts and seeing if their style appeals to you. Or perhaps a portfolio site is more to your preference so you can see people's most ideal pieces. DeviantArt is a good place to start more casually, or you could check Hentai Foundry for directly explicit content. Definitely keep an eye out for people saying "COMMISSIONS OPEN" or something along those lines. And if you find someone you may not necessary like, do check the people they retweet, because they may follow other +18 artists and you may like one of them instead.
