ASDF Writing Corner? [Discuss]

So liek, as this place had been getting too serious lately I just wanna propose some idea. How about we make some places to dump our fucked-up random ideas together, it's kinda similar to this thread

But well as Cinia Pacifica had stressed, we're going to turn it more like a collaboration thread where writers (or even non-regular writers) of all skill levels and abilities could also participate and interact with each other.

It mostly serves as a medium to invite as much people as possible, especially those who originally doesn't frequent this section. I'm thinking of making it more like a 'just for fun' event to attract more people to join in~

So yeah, any ideas or suggestions you want to fire away before we start making the actual thread?

And well I think this thread will also serve as a regular discussion about things related to the actual thread after it had been made~

(anyway since I thought it's going to be dead already let me enjoy myself to the fullest by posting these, oh well...at least I tried)

I think this thread's mainly for discussion lol, I'm planning to make the actual thread to submit the stories you guys are working on. Though the preference is more like teaming-up and do something to make things easier and adding up the fun~

So to join here all i gotta do is submit or write a writing,dialogue or fanfic?

My friend and I are likely joining. Sounds interesting and slightly competitive~

I do thought of few alternatives. It could be anything ranging from written work to a fanfiction, but to keep things in order we'll suggest a general topic to follow off, just a suggestion though~

Or it could be a free-for-all without limitations with end of month as a deadline, just like in the Story Recommendation Thread. Those with Topics will have no deadlines or ends, except you guys want to suggest the change towards the current topic.

And to make things in a more collaborative manner, I want to limit the individual submission to 1 entry per month (if it's free for all) or 1 entry per topic (if it's going to be topic based)

Though there will be no submission limits for collaborative works btw~

Hmm....i think i'm gonna wait for an example from someone else...i don't wish for mistakes ^^

I think the mistake most likely to be made will only occur if we wish to adhere to a certain topic and the submission doesn't really give the feel of that topic (that is if we decided to stick with a general topic rather than free-for-all)

For the free-for-all thingy, if the submission fails to meet the end-of-month deadline, it will only be sent of to the next month's list btw =)

The second thing might be the user submitting individual entry past the limit~

That's all that I thought off for now, except if some of you wanna pose more limitations to make things more challenging~

I think the thing with the topics is more challenging ,so i think other limitations are not needed in my opinion..

Ah I see, I personally thought the topic thingy might be more suited for this in order to make things more 'collaborative'

I think the limits might be useful in order to make people collaborate with each other as it's originally meant to be a collaboration thread after all.

I do have two options:

1. Completely remove the limitations for individual entries
2. Or to increase the limit into 2 or 3 entries per topic

I also want to restrict submitting old stories. And the approved stories were only those meant to be submitted to this thread, and I'll make Contest Entries a NO too =)

I think the bolded point is the thing I wanna stress out, the other things might yield more compromises.

A collab writing?? never done that before....teach me? And you mean by 2 or 3 entries is that 1 or the collab makes 2 or 3 writings?

And series?? Well I think it's alright, although I think it's more creative if, the writer makes a different story for every topic rather then use the same characters from the series he/she makes.

For collab writing, I think it's two or three people or more working on the same story from the start to finish~

The limit means for an individual it's okay to submit without limits or made the limit larger, but that kind of beats the purpose of it being collaborative thread. Though I don't want to be strict to impose no individual submission either lol so I made it that way~

Yeah I think it is for the series, I will consider the entire thread as a single entry then =)

Nah it's okay if you want to do some collaboration with IRL friends or some user from outside Fakku. Just include those people who worked together in the story on the credit~

For example : this story is written by me and my IRL friend or This story is written by me and (username xxx) from another forum

Though remember to do an actual collaboration lol, I couldn't really tell for sure whether you guys were doing collab or just faking it lol xD

You might want to include the details about the IRL friend thingy because there's not just one IRL friend you know~

That's the problem....most of my friends are not really into writing and story making...and I don't have any forum buddies since i'm still new here, so I think I'll mostly be reading people collab's and stating my opinions untill I've found a writing buddy (maybe you wanna help me out here?? :P)

Anyway...you know how to see if people are making a fake collab or not?? I think a fake collab is possible...
