Dolly grabbed her Barbie doll and ran across the street from the park. "Come and catch me, big brother!" she exclaimed. "You're silly!" I shouted back. Dolly stuck out her tongue and taunted, "I bet you can't!" I put a big goofy smile on and yelled, "I bet I can!"
I started running towards Dolly, but then there was this sudden emptiness. Blaring sounds, flashing lights and screaming people.
Dolly. That was Dolly, her screams.
Why is she crying? Dolly, don't cry, I'm here. It was dark and my body felt heavy. I couldn't move. There was sobbing.
Aw, come on Dolly, don't cry. Big brother is here. Don't cry. I could see again.
I walked towards the little girl and tried patting her back, but she didn't calm down at all.
Dolly. I focused harder.
Dolly, why are you crying? She didn't look up, and I'm sure she heard me, for she whispered in sobs, "Big brother is gone. The car hit him. Now he's gone".
Description/Comments:
Er well, I was introduced to a song called "Dance on Our Graves" by Paper Route from my friend and I ended up writing this. A story seemed to just form in my mind. I don't usually write things like this, sort of mysterious and/or dramatic or suspenseful. So this was a first. If it's not all that great and you didn't enjoy it, I must apologize. I shall work harder on improving my somewhat-of-a-horror-or-sad-or-creepy stories. Ah. That made little sense. Well, basically, I'll try to improve my skills in this type of writing.
Thanks to everyone who has read my works so far. You're my inspiration, so I shall keep moving forward. Thank you all again.
Also, I do not mind if anyone has any requests for me. Such as different literary works on a certain topic, a certain short story, or if you want to pair up with me and make a story. I'm fine with anything. I'm just... a bit bored, you could say? I'm looking for an exciting project. If anyone would like to offer anything or request things or anything like that, feel free to post it or PM me.
