So its my first story here and well, let me know if it doesn't meet the criteria or anything. It was hard to put everything under 1,000 words but I did it, just barely though.
Its a Jacob cameo, one that I'm not proud of. It's also Christmas based, but not very. Just a few mentions here and there. Sorry guys. :(
Praise the lord for Tsundere though!
He forgot how to breathe through his nose. She had come up with the assumption that because he ate with his mouth open all the time and stopped too breathe every twenty seconds that he must have, somehow, miraculously forgot how to breathe. There was an upside though. Holding his breathe while he ate gave him spectacular lung capacity, so it was no wonder why he was on the swim team. Though how he hadn’t become fat was beyond her.
Every day he would come in with frozen dinners. It pissed her off. What was so good about them anyway? And now that it was around Christmas there were a ton of discounts and coupons so he brought them in by the threes. He didn’t even care to look and see if she had anything for him. She had gone through so much trouble to day in making his favorite food and he completely ignored her.
They hadn’t talked to each other in she didn’t know how long. It.. was his fault. He was too impatient and never knew how to take a joke or a punch, and-and one day he just told her to leave him alone. That bastard, she hated him so much. Him and his stupid frozen dinners.
She looked outside the window hoping the white stuff outside would just melt already. She could hear him consuming all of the food noisily, even though he was eating surprisingly silently. It wasn’t like she had her ears trained on him or anything, it was just that by being in the library everything would be naturally silent.
She glanced over at him. He was on the computer and he was eating. What a pig. In one hand he had a spork, shoveling a lump of potatoes in his mouth and the other he was moving the mouse, stopping every few seconds to use the keyboard. What a useless idiot. Couldn’t he use that skill for something else? Like flipping pages in a book or something? They were in the library!
Only them. Just them… all alone.
She sighed and started to fall down slowly with her head propped on her hand. He could really put that skill to good use with her for whatever reason she wanted. He probably thought about it all the time, the perverted dumbass. He used to look at her… down there… and his fingers twitched when he did. Maybe he could do that to her… tease her… pleasure her… make up for all the time that they lost and stick his hands down and instead of eating the dumb frozen dinner he would eat her o-
The wind beat up against the window roughly and she nearly fell out of her chair. No, no! What was she thinking! It wasn’t like that! Stupid, stupid! What was he doing to her? She caught him looking at her and twitched. “What?” She asked in her most venomous voice. To her chagrin it went up a few pitches and she flushed a bit.
He stared at her. The stupid little spork was down and his hands were free. She frowned. “What the hell are you looking at?!”
As if it would answer her question, he let her see the monitor, which had been courteously zoomed in. On it read, “FAKKU is temporarily down for maintenance.” Her eyebrow twitched. He was looking at her because a damn hentai site wasn’t active? That idiot! Their snowed in a fucking library and all he cares about is porn? Cartoon porn?! What the fuck!
She looked back at him to voice her disgust at him but he wasn’t there. “It’s getting dark.” She gasped and looked in front of her, where he was standing at least three feet away, staring out the window. She looked too. The trees were becoming covered and she briefly wondered if they could leave. But it was getting dark fast so they would probably have to stay here with their classmates.
The next thing she knew he was pulling a seat out from her table and sitting down with a cooked frozen dinner in his hands. He peeled in back and blew. In the corner of her eye she could see the only microwave in the gigantic room open and blinking. She sucked her teeth and kicked a bento box under the table back behind her chair.
He stopped before he could start. Then, he looked up at her. “You want to try some?” That was him, the nice guy. Careless, but nice. Like an idiot. A nice idiot who was so oblivious to her. She glared at him. He shrugged and edged out a piece of meat and ate it. Silence followed.
She shivered a little and he sighed. “Here.” He took off his jacket he had been wearing, one she hadn’t even noticed and got up and wrapped it around her. She turned a dark red. T-That i-idiot. Had he f-forgotten that they weren’t friends anymore? That labeling her as a beloved childhood friend meant nothing?
“…Thanks.” She muttered childishly. He snorted. So he could breathe. “We should be getting back to sensei and the others.” He was right. They had come here to look at the weather report and she had come herself to make sure he didn’t screw anything up.
He started to walk away from her and the table, leaving the frozen dinner behind. Before she could ask, he said, “Still cold.” Frost was on the bottom. “It’ll melt.”
Then, as if on cue, one of their classmates came in holding a giant horse head in hand with Christmas decorations in the other. “Come on guys! We still need to finish putting all the decorations up!” He was right. It would look very Christmasy without decorations. The halls were nearly barren.
“Alright Jacob.” She watched them leave.
She hugged the jacket close and rolled her eyes at the lunch she had made for him sadly. “Stupid idiot and his frozen dinners.”
