Hello again. After my last entry, my hand started itching and I wanted to write another one. This time I’m going for more of a modern style in the genre, as my last was more of a traditional whodunit. Again this is amongst my first works here, so the quality may not be in top. It’s the sequel to my last story (Waar is in prison after being caught by Mouser), but is a standalone in its own right.
2240 hours - December 29th – Fakku Global Moderator Headquarters
Gambler was not a happy bear. He had just come out of a top-secret meeting with the leaders of the Fakku regime and he had not liked what he heard. Fakkutopia was in a right state – with chaos building up and the New Year threatening anarchy – and it was his job to fix it. Normally that would not faze him in the least, but the way that he had been downright ordered to do so didn’t really make for a happy camper. He still shudders at what top command had told him. The seedy underbelly of an otherwise noble society, known as the IB, was out of control. They were swarming the universities of Serious Discussion and ransacking the lemon farms! They had lost the leadership of their leader and many sought to impersonate their old leader’s appearance to gain power. This leader, recently caught by his arch-nemesis Mouser, is needed to return and control IB. Of course, he can’t just be transferred, that would be too suspicious to Mouser. And it was not just anybody that needed to be sprung; Gambler had to bust Waar from prison!
Gambler, despite his dislike, was not one for disobeying orders, royal orders no less, and so he met with his sidekick to plan the endeavour. “Alright people! I need information.” Gambler declared “Where is Waar? Who is guarding him? And how do we get him out?” “Well, sir” reported one. “Waar is due to be exiled to 4chanistan, but is currently being held in the security cell just away from the main prison cells. He is under close surveillance, so all that we can manage to get him is a headset and a very limited selection of items. But at New Years Eve, with the amazing amounts of celebration going on, Waar will only be guarded by 3 guards, each at their own checkpoint. But these guards are pro, all devout Fakku followers; hell one of them even leads the anti-NTR brigade against rape doujins. Each is guarding their own check point. But getting past them is one problem, getting him out of the prison proper is a whole other measure – Waar is very well known – he would be spotted instantly!” Gambler frowned, taking in the mass of information: this was going to be difficult. But his brilliant mind soon came through and his eyes lit up, “It’s impossible to bust Waar from prison” he said. Hushing the garbled protests from his sidekick, he continued, “so we are not going to break him out of jail, we are going to get him to break into jail!”
2300 hours - December 31st – Super-security wing of Fakku Prison
Waar was not holding out well. He was trained to withstand most kind of tortures, but watching the Endless Eight episodes over and over was driving him insane. But strangely things were happening and soon, in return for a promise of stricter control of the IB hooligans, he would be busted out. He put on the headset that had been smuggled in and listened to its directions. “Alright Waar” the voice said. “Now is the time to escape.” Waar nodded and moved toward the exit and the first guard. “This guy is one of the strongest followers of Fakku and with his leadership of the anti-NTR brigade, is going to be a tough person to crack. But we will use his character against him. Throw out the item I gave you and he should be taken care of.” Waar did so, and threw the collection of Little White Butterflies Days of Christmas doujins out in front of the guard, sneaking easily past him as he shuddered, curled up in the corner crying.
“Alright, you see that microphone? That goes out to the speakers at the 2nd checkpoint. Use that to distract the guard there.” Waar nodded, this voice was coming in handy. He pulled out the microphone and spoke it to it. “Attention, Lady Momoka is currently at the jail entrance to show her support to the prison wardens.” Waar laughed inside, he knew that this guard viewed Momoka as his idol and would drop even his duty to go see her. So checkpoint two was clear.
“Now comes the cruel part” the voice said over the headset. “I am going to ask you to do something so sinister that even you would shudder, but this is necessary”. Waar turned his head in confusion, but upon listening to the plan turned white. Indeed he would not wish this unfortunate upon even his worse enemy, but it had to be done. The last guard was on the computer and Waar, an expert at computers, remotely took access to Fakku.net away from the computer. The final guard burst into a rage and ended up sobbing himself unconscious, dying slowly inside. As Waar walked passed the broken man, he could have swore he heard Momoka say “U Mad?” in his head.
“What do I do now?” he asked. “I made it through all the checkpoints and I could make a break for it in the open, but that would be risky” He could hear the voice laugh in his headset. “Well here is the best part” it said. “You now break into the main prison and mingle with the IB prisoners there.” Waar was sceptical. “But I would be noticed straight away! I am a cat with a Gekota frog mask after all.” The voice laughed again. “Well so is quite a few in the IB population. They seemed to have copied your appearance and we will use this to our benefit. Now mingle in with the prisoners and, as all the normal inmates will be released in celebration of the New Year, you will join them leaving tomorrow.” Waar saw the genius in the plan and knew who he was talking with. “Thanks for that and nice doing business with you.” Waar said. “And Happy New Year Gambler!”
