I would like to recommend Kyto's
My day at the beach.
I haven't gone through even half of all the entries yet, but I'm making my way through them. But, honestly, Kyto's work is quite good. I've already left my remarks on the story's tread, but I'll just reitterate.
Kyto's 'My Day the the Beach' comes off as a wordy monologue at first. But, as you slowly ease into the writing style, the writing becomes very natural. It gives off a realistic impression on a mind of a person. The vocabulary is never out of context. You don't see his thoughts venture out into a poetic barrage, or break into an unrealistic slang. The character is articulate, but is also a person of modern society. He curses, but he knows his English vocabulary.
Once the writing pulls you in, it takes you by surprise with an interesting twist. Good flow, a relatable character, an interesting twist, and if it means anything in terms of the contest itself, the feeling of summer is always there and the addition of Fakku feels natural.
