this is the story
how shiro became Archer
and how he died...

its the year 2070 C.day where the corrupted descends into the surface of the
living to devour human flesh and souls and turned earth into a new hell.
War hero Shiro emiya will lead this people to fight against this unearthly beast.
and bring them back where they belong.

Add some more magicians on the story and more servants and at the same time add some of them on the enemy's side?

I dunno, I just had to throw it out there...

Leave out Gilgamesh and put in someone original with an original plot?

the demons side will be lots of magicians

and the human side will be guns and magicians

Some more ideas, have some magical soldiers instead of the demons, it will look much nicer seeing that Gilgamesh is a King.

Also, have Saber in the story, by.... umm... having Shiro's son/daughter summon her?

Just throwing these ideas out I guess.

Read Fate Zero, it's already translated in English, a really EPIC light novel. Hopefully the written words there would inspire you to write the fanfic. Understanding of the prequels is pretty essential for strengthening the story background.

If you're into playing the Visual Novels, I suggest you start referencing parts from the Unlimited Blade Works, and Heavens' Feel route. UBW for the action and plot, and HF for the twist and character development.

Read Fate/Zero, nuff said. Be prepared to think everything else that bears the name Fate sucks compared to it. :P

No actually, I think I should've explained that a little moar, its like, when you write the fanfic, you make t like that, Rin and Shirou has a son/daughter, then he/she summons Saber somehow, its a thought like that okay?
