I've been writing some poetry while waiting for the public bus after my poetry and fiction classes to go home, so I thought maybe I would post them on FAKKU! for you people browsing this section to read. Some will be silly and offbeat. Some will not.

In addition, this is open for anyone to post their poetry in as well. This is the writing section, so please be respectful when posting in this thread. If you have many poems and want to put them in a single post, use spoilers so people can scroll through the posts quicker. Make sure to use line breaks to separate poems, so others won't be confused as to what you're writing.

Without further ado, I present to you my poetry.

Do these poems have titles associated with them? Just wondering.

No, and I doubt I will come up with names for them.

I thought about sharing my poetry. That's it. I'm just leaving it open to others to post poetry as well.

Was it.. serious poetry? Because I can't really tell. It sounds like you were bored and dicking around. >_

All poetry is serious on some level, but I was bored when writing these. Instead of being about romance or some dreadful event or "being serious" as you call it, I thought about writing joyous, humorous (somewhat), lighthearted poetry that may or may not be to your liking. Sorry if you didn't enjoy it. You're still free to post poems in here though, if you so choose.

Did you get past the first one? I mean I think some of these are really good. Some even fit the 'seriousness' of what you are referring to.

I think poetry has limitless possibilities. Besides, not everything can be doom and gloom right? Some of these are nice; thanks for sharing~

That's one thing I'm learning in my poetry class. We're only reading and analyzing poetry in our class, but I want to write my own poetry and play with different writing styles and such. Thank you for actually reading these poems.



What do you mean going on? What's going on in the poems or the discussion I had with lollikittie? Anyways, glad you enjoyed them.

I mean the contents that the poem has, and in my own preference, it doesn't require me to understand the contents for personal enjoyment. as long it could give me something worthwhile, it's all okay, and the poems had it in them, so yeah~

It's just some poetry to entertain readers, not my personal opinions on topics like war or abortion.

ah yeah I see, that's also nice as I prefer the light-hearted ones such as the poems for entertainment =D

These poems were a good and fun read.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, yeah, it was fun to read and all, but to be frankly, it's waaaaay too weird for my taste. Enjoy it, though those difficult words make me open my dictionary several times.

And I personally don't like pee and shit in my poems, haha XD

I read all of them. I wasn't looking for doom and gloom, romance, or something heavy. It really sounds like he was bored and wanted to bullshit his way through an assignment or something.

The one about owls... confuses me. I'm curious as to what prompted that one.

No. These weren't for assignments at all. My assignments are about analyzing poetry, not creating them. This was for practicing writing poetry and having fun.

As for the owl poem, nonsense poetry.
