Finally! It's National Novel Writing Month 2010 (NaNoWriMo)!
No, not nano desu. NaNoWriMo! Never heard of it?
Basically, every November, writers all over the world issue themselves a challenge. To write an ENTIRE novel within the month of November. Starting 12:00am on November 1st and ending 12:00am December 1st, writers squeeze in as much writing as they can, foregoing the long, tedious editing process and instead trying to create something spontaneous and organic.
I plan to take the challenge this year and I'd love for other Fakkuzas to join me.
Check in here during the month and we can all support each other, critique, or just take a short break from our writing frenzys!
Post your writing here or post your NaNoWriMo acount so we can all check each other's progress.
Things to Remember:
~ Goal is 50,000 words, whether of a full novel or the beginning of a novel.
~ Novel can be any theme, any genre, written in any language. Fanfiction is allowed.
~ Don't be too concerned about quality. The point is to create something fun and original, off the cuff, without stressing over perfection. A lot of authors have gone on to publish their works written during NaNoWriMo.
~ Anyone who reaches the 50,000 word mark is declared a winner. If you submit your story in time, NaNoWriMo will even send you a free, paperback copy of your novel!

I really want to accept this challenge but I don't think it's possible for me to write a novel this November seeing that I'll be back to school on the 4th solving higher Chemistry and Math problems and studying heat transfer and mass transfer, kinetic and reactor designs. The horrors. >///<
