Need help on writing...

I was wondering what program you all use to write your stories. Also, I was wondering... I know this is going to probably weird as hell, but it seems like each time I write on Microsoft Office Word the words I write seems cramped up. Usually, I have to bold or italic word for it to look right. Like I said, "it sounds weird as hell." I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. If so, what do you do to remedy this?

MS Word 07. Looks fine to me. No idea what you're talking about. Screenshots might help.

Do you have MS Office Word 2007? Or just simply MS Word 07? Or perhaps it is the kind of font I am using or size of it? It's really hard to explain it. Or maybe I am just crazy, I don't know.


EDIT: Nevermind, it seems there's no difference between the two. But, perhaps it's the kind of font I am using. I am using Arial at size 10. It could be the reason that's a real slight space between the letters in a word or them being cramped up. Again, I can't really explain it. Or maybe I am truly just crazy.

I use Times New Roman, font size 12. I think Arial font is a bit thin.

Thanks for the tip... It looked like I explained it wrong. It turns out, the words were just looking too thin. So, I just increased the font size, and all was good. Again, thanks, and I hope you don't mind me rep'ing you.

This is just my thoughts... but this seems more like a topic suited towards the Computers and Technology section, rather than the Writing and Fanfiction section.

I only use Microsoft words for words count and format. I mostly wrote stuff on my phone then I just import it to my pc. :D

PS : try using Times New Roman. It's much better than arial.
