This is by far the hardest choice. I cannot choose between so many great authors...Well, time to weigh the choices.

Having decided not to vote for my own one, I will now read through all the other ones to chose the best one
(not that I mind - every entry for this contest that I've read so far is awesome!)

I'll do the same. Beats acting like a narcissist at any rate, and I'm not even sure I could honestly vote for mine against such ridiculous competition.



Popularity ideally shouldn't have anything to do with it. I felt the first poll was somewhat affected by it, but not so much that you lose all faith in the voters.

Personal thoughts: I feel like North Korea in the group of death. Sigh.

I vote for you Mibu, I believe the purpose of this contest is to find the best writer and his greatest writing, well just a thought really, I don't think this is a popularity either. I bet people will first think of the best writing first.

It may be because the other thread was mentioned in the front page, and was promoted in IB, whereas this one is much less publicized.

Oh, if the first poll was advertised in IB, that would explain the ridiculous response.

Edit: I THINK I found the thread...and posted a request there. Odds are I would have spent my time more wisely if I just made a new thread asking for votes. We'll see what happens though.

Front page post helped. I don't want to abuse it, but it did bring in all the lurkers and what not. Ask people to read/vote for you if you have an entry. I'll do/ask for another front page for the final contest. But unless someone says otherwise, I this it would be too much if I put an announcement every three days.

If anyone would like to, please make a new thread instead of bumping the one I made in IB. I think most people ignore it now lol.

I've been asking users and such that I chat with to check out the thread, but about half of the responses were along the lines of: "oh. that's cool, but I don't feel like reading all of those entries to vote." That's also part of the reason why we don't have as many votes, I believe. Laziness. ><;
