Vampire: The Requiem (Role-Play)

First time trying out an RP, but hope to get it going somewhere. This is mainly based on the New World of Darkness series of pen-and-paper RPGs, where the Vampire: The Requiem stories take place. So, it's going to have quite some emphasis on the ROLE-playing.


1. If you're new to RP'ing or need to brush up some forgotten basics, refer to the Fakku RP guide

2. No god-modding, please!.

3. Play fair, no AI'ing without permission, and follow other general RP rules.

Here is the profile list I will be using to add names:

Name: Nelferis "Nelly" Raven
Sex: Female
Clan: Nosferatu
Disciplines: Vigor, Obfuscate, Nightmare
Feats: Melee, Defense, Sneaking, Inspection
Apparent age: 19
Appearance: She has icey-blue eyes, and a medium build at a height of around 6 feet. She's wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. She has a sword her maker gave her. Her Nosferatu nature has given her an aura that normal people can't see and makes her feel unpleasant to be around.
Description: Her parents were recently killed and she was turned into a vampire soon after. She ran away from her maker and is now in hiding. As part of her Nosferatu-nature, she has an inhuman air around her, that makes all life and unlife want to avoid her or feel unpleasant around her. She doesn't want to be a vampire, she thinks it's not right and it's scary and she misses all her friends and her parents. She's only been a vampire for a few months and as such still isn't very skilled with her new powers.

Appearance: Always in a dark cloak, with a purple trim on the left and red trim on the right. Armed with daggers for self-defense, four on the cloak and four more underneath. The hood is on most of the time, unless examining something. Has short blond hair, heterochromic eyes.
Description: The quiet one of the team, hardly socializes, but does provide his opinion when asked or to be the moderator of heated debates. Used to be in one of the small teams for Ordo Dracul... The fact that he knows secrets from all sides shows how much he meddles. It is difficult to gain his trust and has a short temper, especially if asked the dreaded allegiance question. However, his way to make and/or break trusts is to reveal other secrets...

Does this follow the theme and plot?

Description: Is a very deadly ally to have. He will sacrifice anything to get what he wants, there was once a rumor he killed his own partner so that he can gain a human girls trust, then later on killed her when he got hungry. He may look very calm, but is always ready to act, he hates to wait for anything. He has no problems with people/vampires getting close to him, because in his mind...he just has more people to use and or eat. The only flaw he has is... his natural instincts.


I think this is right......I will read more into it....

This will be an interesting read. I've been a fan of the Vampire: Requiem series since I first played Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption, the PC RPG years and years and years ago. It had such a tremendous story that I followed it up with the series of novels and the PC RPG sequel Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. You've picked a great plot and setting and I'll be sure to watch this closely. I'd love to participate, but I'm more of a Brujah/Gangrel/Malkavian sort of guy, sometimes going for Tremere. Best of luck with this.

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, someone in the Entertainment section was talking about vampires in general, and I said, you want vampires? Play any of White Wolf's Vampire games. That was the main inspiration for this.

And sorry you couldn't get the Gangrel role. Requiem really cut down on the clans, making only 5 the core ones, and any other minor ones a bloodline (which, unfortunately, this RP will not have). Hell, Tremere was probably excluded completely from V:TR.

I suppose I just feel I belong more to the Vampire: The Masquerade subset. Then again, I never really went pen and paper with it.

Not a problem at all, however. I have full faith in Neo's role-playing and writing abilities to make this story a spectacular one. He'll do you well and I'll enjoy checking up.

Yeah, but he doesn't completely seem to understand how a Nosferatu really works. He gave his character HAIR! Who gives hair to a Nosferatu?! XD

If this becomes big, I might open more slots later, so you could join someday. :)

Oh, I made a mistake thinking he had the Gangrel. Well, that's the problem with having new people join a story that's already well developed. He'll learn. Neo, this is what the typical female Nosferatu looks like: Warning: May lose lunch.

Artie said I could make her look cute :( And the wiki said "either an inhuman air about them or grotesque features". So, what the fuck am I reading.

Try to fit it with the image that Xenon gave. And I said "cute by Nosferatu standards". Just because all Nosferatu look ugly like that, doesn't mean they're all the same.

Can I give her freakishly long limbs as part of her Nosferatu nature? Or some kind of deformity, just not with her face much? :(

Description: Alice, originally the daughter from a wealthy family, was living an ordinary rich life, with great luxury, pleasure, elegance etc. Until one day on the academy she was studying on, when she was not feeling well on class and went to the infirmary to rest, after which, she was bitten by the nurse, who was a vampire from the Daeva clan. After that day, she witnessed many changes to her life; her family finding out the truth about her becoming a vampire, which she was trying to hide about, then her father wanting to put an end to her existence because he felt that she was no longer his daughter "Alice", and the very changes of her own ways and living starting to live a life of a vampire. One day, before her father was about to get her killed, she ran away, as fast as she could, as she wanted to get away from everyone she knew, and start anew. She later fled to another city, and got herself the job of a waitress on a cafe, then met a handsome man, and used her enticing charms to enter a relationship with him, and manipulated him for own survival. The sexual activities (including sexual intercourse(s)?) she had with him, had made her lascivious and seductive.

Well, they don't all look freakishly disgusting, some are only semi-grotesque: Like here-ish, or here. However, if you want to switch genders, the males can be pretty awesome even if they do have an S&M fetish.

I now see why he was thinking of being from the Daeva clan....

Game Locked!

Creak

The sound of the rotating chair continues to echo through the office-like room. A man, pale-skinned and dressed completely in black, continues to spin ever-so slowly on the chair, and looks blankly at the cycling, letting his arms hang listlessly by his sides. Every so often, he would even bring up his right hand to his mouth to take another drag of his cigarette. Such black and white would be an eyesore to anybody else in the room, especially since the room itself was painted with every shade of blue possible. The most concentrated shade, he thought, may have been Persian blue...no...iris, perhaps? Not that it mattered a lot to him. He simply bathed in his own time in the soft blue atmosphere of the room. It made the place feel...velvety...

Straightening himself up, he took one last draw of his cigarette before he stubbed it out on an ashtray in front of his desk. Bringing his watch up to eye-level, he glances at his watch for a few seconds, which turns to into staring at it for a whole minute. Afterwards, he sighs and gets up from the chair.

"They should be up right about now," he thought out loud.

He slowly gets from the chair, and walks to another side of the room, past his desk and four ornate chairs opposite.

"Default," he suddenly shouted, causing the lights to switch to a more normal shade of off-white, restoring everything to its original colour.

He stops in front of a large computer console, with four widescreen monitors hanging on the wall above. After tinkering with some controls, the screens flicker to life with static.

A few seconds later, the static remained...urging a kick from the man-in-black to the machine.

"Stupid second-hand machinery," he grumbled. Almost as if on command, the static disappears and is replaced with four very distinct scenes.

The only thing each monitor now had in common was an unconscious pale-looking body in the middle of a dark enclosure. The rest of these rooms were almost pitch-black, with the only given light on the four figures, making them seem like contestants in some twisted Running Man-style game show. Each figure was unique in its own way as well. A pigtailed blonde who looked like she could easily blend in as a middle-school student; a red-head with a buff figure and a mean-looking face; a blonde with a hoodie just slight covering his head; and finally, a sickly-looking creature with no hair, but probably female, if the attire were to be believed.

The man notices his "guests" stirring, so, with a crack of his knuckles, he casually moves his hand over to five buttons in a row; the last four of which are labelled 1 to 4. Pressing the first unmarked button, the remaining four lit up an bright, almost demonic, red. Clearing his throat, he began to speak to the monitors.

"Rise and shine, my friend! Actually, I should be saying 'rise and whine', considering the situation you're in."

This declaration grabs the undivided attention of the four mysterious figures, now fully awake.

"Now, you don't know me, but I do know you. Pretty soon, we'll have the chance to get acquainted, but before we do, I need to know if you're able to get out of the situation you're in. If you fail, or you're simply not interested, tough luck, you'll be stick there for the rest of you long lives. It shouldn't be too hard, of course. To escape, you'll simply need to take advantage of what makes your clan special. If you're stuck, don't worry. I'll provide hints, if necessary. All in all, I have this proposition, and I'd be very happy if you could get out of there, come to me, and hear me out. Well then, good luck. I'll be waiting. Remember, what makes your clan unique is the key."

Before completely walking away, he stops and goes back to the console.

"Oh, and one last thing. Once you do get out, follow the last corridor to the elevator, and take it to B3 to reach me. That is all."

Finishing his words, he turns off the microphone, and steps away from the console, when techno music suddenly starts blaring from above him.

"I swear, how this whole place is still standing, especially with one of the city's seediest nightclubs covering 2 basement floors, is beyond me."

[[OOC: I understand that the profiles may have been quite restrictive on you guys, so to make it up to you, I'm giving you guys somewhat complete freedom here. You describe your own room and how you get out using your specialties. Just keep it under 2-3 posts.]]

Waking up from some sort of slumber, trying to get an idea just where am I. A monitor shows me a figure of a pale man. It looks like he made a game. Talking in a singular form, obviously, I can already feel movements from other rooms around me. However, he is right... I don't know who he is. No matter, once I get to him, maybe I will know who he is... As he finishes telling us "what to do", I proceed to go through the door, on the other side it appears to be one of those "trap doors" that lead you to your doom. Falling axes from the top, bullets from the sides and an unstable floor that will make you have accidents.

Just dashing through the room without a worry, all the traps triggered a few seconds too late to get me. At the other side, a door is locked. With three different kinds of locks? Desperate to kill me? These despicable human locks should just have keys instead, insulting. I proceed through the door, as I close it, blades pierce through it. The next room is yet another cliche, falling ceiling with spikes. The only difference is, that there are six computers, each with their own passwords. There is a writing on the wall, "Get to the home screen" and although it seems simple enough... It seems too easy. The computers are lined up in two rows, three in the front and three in the back. As I boot all of them up, the ceiling begins to slowly fall down. As the log-in screen comes in, I notice each carry a name from my "partners" in my team. Every time I successfully log on, a picture of them comes out. All taken at different times and at different assignments we had. I begin to hesitate as I reach the last two. I know who they are... My fiancee... and I. The ceiling comes down closer, behind me, I hear some whirring and movements, I turn around and see a camera. I immediately rush towards it and destroy it with my bare hands. This vampire knows something... The pictures come up, the one I'm in... Is when I was betrayed. The other one is of her death...

As the locks on the door are disabled, the door starts to open up on the opposite side of the room. The ceiling is already a few feet from my head. I just slide under it... In front of me are three people, heavily armed. One of them is a woman... They immediately point their weapons towards me, I immediately act upon them. Blocking their mind so they don't see me. They immediately start getting scared. The two men even dare push the woman in front, I run on the wall and immediately strike on one of the males. Using my the blade on my dagger to hit his jugular vein, spilling all the blood on his cowardly partner. Immediately he draws his weapon, I rush towards him and pierce through his weak vest with my bare hands. Pulling out his heart. I begin to devour it. The taste of blood gives me a euphoric reaction, letting out a loud growl.

"Just what I needed... The killing and satisfaction..."

The female turns out to be a young lady, no older than the age of 21. Trembling at my sight, she falls back. Scared, awaiting death. Pointing her gun at me. She proceeds to shoot me, I stagger back and act dead. As she gets near me, I immediately rush to her and pin her to the wall. Holding her neck, she struggles to breathe. Trying to loosen from my grip. My bloodstained hand ruins her beauty.

"Why would you try to kill me? These cowards just put you in the front line!"

Her dark hair moving on about, freeing itself. Her white skin and voluptuous body is amazing for a human. Her blue eyes were entranced on mine. Reminding me of her.

"ANSWER ME!"

She begins to cry...

"I just work at the nightclub! He brought us here saying we would be set for life if we kill a vampire!"

She faints in my grasp. I let her go. I begin to feast on the other two, rejuvenating me a bit. A few cameras monitored my every movement, I wonder if this vampire is trying to kill us...

As I proceed through a door, I happen to see a familiar insignia... This room is far darker than the rest, I sneak around, confirming the insignia itself. Losing my patience, I pounce on him as he screams and struggles to get away, I begin to rip his neck to shreds with my own mouth. It was nothing more than another male with weapons... I leave for the elevator, forgetting about the cameras... Heading to a corridor with an elevator, I dash through it, hearing traps being triggered and all of the missing me. I get inside it and push the button labeled B3...

"I know you can hear me. I don't know what caused you to make all of this, but I will find out. Along with the others. There better be a good reason for this..."

I get out a sanitizer and clean my hands, despicable filth. Letting humans do work for him... I reach into my pocket, feeling the memento she and I shared. I rather not expose it to him, no openings shall be given.

"Well, at least the jazz music in here is relaxing..."

"Son of a bitch!" is all I say when waking up to a man talking about meeting him, and hurrying up.
Looking around I see a door, and a dark looking room. Looking at the door closer....it's easy to see it's trap.
"Fuck it" I say as I swing the door open, just to see 10 men and 10 women aiming guns at me.

"Ooooo, man knows what I like" I start walking slowly just to see 4 men come from the back of me and grab my arms. "HA!" I grab one of there heads and crush the others heads with it, then quickly use the body as a shield as the others start shooting. I throw the body at 3 of them close to the wall, so hard they get crushed to death. "Ha!" I start to run to the center of the crowd dodging bullets and fist. I reach the center and smile. "Come on yall can do better then that, or maybe you can't?"

Two brave men came at me with there handguns, I then grab them and slam them to the floor and stick my hands into thier chest. "Hahaha warm so warm and yummy~"

"KEVIN, You BASTERD!" all the men said as they get ready to aim, I walk to the women. "Girls, How you do" I look at all the girls....Cuties. I knock out 5 of the girls and send my hand through the other five "Sorry, weren't my type." then all then men pulled there triggers. "Pow powPOW" All the men see is blood gushing form the mist. They watch very carefully....then the mist goes away, for them to see in horror...one of the girls I knocked out, full of holes bleeding to death. "b..be...behi-" the girl dies speaking. The men look to see me no where in sight, but then, "Damn man, that was one of the cute ones....really wanted to save her for later." They all turn around to see me right there....then the next thing they see is there own bodies without a head as I slashed there head clean off. "haha I hear the heads live for a while even when not attached..." I look at the heads. "I'll show some mercy" I pull out each of there eyes out and eat them, "There, now you don't have to see me anymore Hehehe!"


I start walking down the corridor dragging 4 girls behind me. I see the elevator in front of me.
"What was it again....." I then wake up one of the girls, she screams in horror.
"W-what do you want!".
"I want to know which floor was I suppose to go to?"
She looks in horror, "I-i dont know...we were told to kill you and go get the money later."
"Hahaha, thats a good one bitch. There was no way you were going to kill me, you were my lunch!"
She starts shaking and having crying at the fact that all her team was just being used.
"So, where were , heheh, where were you going to get that money, hahaha!"
"......b......b...3" she says under her breath.
"Ah thats right thanks......now bye~" I pick her up and bite her through her neck.
"AHHH, WHYY" she screams in agony.
"Ah that was good....like I said...you were my food."

She dies loudly..which was annoying. I then get in the elevator and click B3. ... "Wtf..what kinda of music is this..TURN THE JAZZ OFF BITCH!" I say as I start nibbling on one of the other women.

Keeping his eyes on monitor 3, the man-in-black stares intently at the sight of the Mekhet rushing through all of the traps, before slightly hesitating near the computers, for obvious reasons the man knew.

"Patience, my friend. All will be revealed in due time," the man spoke, as if talking to the monitor itself, now showing the Mekhet decimating through the guards.

"Well, seems like he's capable of handling hims-wait, where did that dagger come from?!"

He becomes wide-eyed as he watches the Mekhet reveal a hidden weapon to take out the guards, although the surprise is short-lived. He watches the speedy figure spare the girl and kill another man before making his way to the elevator. He squints his eyes when he notices an unusual behaviour of the Mekhet.

"Hand sanitizer?! OC, much? Well, at least he likes the music. Now, let's go over to our other violent guest."

His eyes now shift to monitor 4, now showing the red-headed Gangrel single-handedly slaughter almost every man in that room.

"Seems like he's leaving the girls alone. Oh...scratch that. He's leaving all the cute ones alone. Ouch! Well...except for that one. Wonderful. This guy's got an overload of bloodlust and testosterone!"

He puts his palm over his face, almost to hide his expression. Surely, he pitied the fool.

"Both of them need to be taught some rules and manners around here. Alright, they're coming down now. However," he contemplates, his view now shifting to the the solid metal door leading into his office.

"I think I'm going to keep the door closed until all of them arrive. In other words, I think it's time for the ladies to be fashionably late. I just hope the magazines in the waiting room outside are enough to keep them occupied."

He looks around nervously for a moment, and sighs.

I just hope they all get here soon, and I can open the door soon enough, before they think about killing each other.
