Winter Writing Contest 2014: Poll #2

The second poll is here. Again, the top three of each poll will go on to the third and final poll. The top two of the final poll will receive the benefit of winning the Reader's Choice and Runner-up awards. These groups were randomized on random.org.

Now, it's time to read, again.

On a sidenote, I would like to say I like the quality of the work in this contest (this includes poll 1) in general. I had no idea what to expect when I joined, but so far it has been a pleasing experience to read. Honestly, I am also amazed by the sheer volume of participants, it's around twice as much as I had estimated. So from a newbie in this forum to the people of this section, you guys are awesome.

I have just finished reading all of the entry in this poll and cast my vote. I would like to say "Good job" to every entrant. Seems like the results are far from being determined.




It seems to me that this poll's entries have shorter length compared to the first one, so people finish reading them faster, I guess?

More like most people already read the entries by the time the poll was posted up.

Yeah, and that, too. Because I hadn't read any entries until they were in the poll, so, haha.

I also feel the same way. I never had tried entering any writing contest and this would be my first. Never would I expect such an enlightening and joyful feeling during and after the contest (well poll). The amount of feedbacks that I recieved were definitely helpful in my ongoing growth as a writer. And so is reading and trying to interpret the brilliant works of others. So, even if the contest isn't done yet, I thank everybody who was part of it.

Sorry I couldn't contribute with better comments than of the feelings of a 'normal' reader. I don't feel very confident in going to correct people's writings but I can at least tell what I liked, found confusing and what I disliked! ^__^)/ good luck to everyone~
