Worldly Intermezzo (RP)

GM NOTE: With the Fallout RP on hiatus, I figured I'd make a short RP as an intermission. Mind you, this in no way is related to the Fallout RP and is its own thing in itself. This is evidently inspired by 'modern world meets fantasy' kind of works like Outbreak Company, Everyday Monster Girls and Hataraku no Maou-sama.

In the early years of the 21st century, the human race has advanced so far in technology, creating computers that fit in their pockets and mighty machines that take them across the world. From 2012, CERN's LHC has been one of the many facilities advancing in sciences, continually running tests over the courses of time. These tests however, have caused abnormalities across the globe, the spawning of rifts.

The first expedition through led them to another world, parallel to ours where magic replaces the existence of science. Over the years, the two worlds underwent negotiations and finally came to agreement for cooperation. The result was the exchange program where a select group were sent to the other realms to interact and learn of each others cultures. However, while the human party's tour went smoothly, the magic world's underwent many problems regarding culture shock, discrimination and a case of abduction. As such the magic world refused to send any more parties into the human world until they had deemed the society was more accustomed to them.

This leads to the year 2017 where the Third Extraworldly Expedition Tour is being organized. The select group, already briefed of the other world from the material brought back from their predecessors, prepare to enter the new world to redeem the human races image and promote cooperation between the races. But will it all go to plan?


Yes, as you can see this takes quite a lot from Outbreak Company but unlike it, there are no defined magical races(a free license to write up whatever fantastical magic people you want within reason) and the year is a few ahead of ours(again free license for human players to write up any non-existing technology within reason). This is going to be free form RP, no real stat work involved because I don't expect this to go for too long. Anyway, these are template character sheets for Human and Magic characters:

I'm hoping going for the fantasy aspect of things appeals more to the RPers of this forum, I saw not many were interested in the Fallout RP. Either that or y'all are just inactive.
