...Huh. The implications based on what he found out on page 15 and what she said afterwards really bugs me.
I mean I like the Vanilla and all, but man, that background detail really bothers me.
Well, they're happy now, so I guess that's fine. If anything, I'd actually rather not know what happened.
idk if it's really a "background detail". It's a somewhat subtle detail that explains the entirety of the chapter. She went to a welcome party...*cough cough* and then went to Micchan because she didn't know who else to turn to.
That was some subtle fucked up dark shit. Rokuwa-sensei is good at this & for once I'm not too happy about it.
The light at the end of tunnel is she is finally happy now with someone who loves her back. MC, if I see you make her sad again, you won't live to regret it.
Side note: hope those motherfuckers who did that to her get their dicks cut off by rusted shears.
This work has me feeling complicated in one hand really fuck up what happened to her and on the other her first love has finally answered her feelings.
As others on this thread have deduced, Arisa was apparently
gang-raped at a "welcome party."
"They did... so much more to me... please... make me clean... "
Arisa comes to Mitsuru because she feels like a tainted woman,
and she wants to wash away the foul memory of her rape in the
arms of the man she loves---which is pretty goddamn poignant.
It's sad and a bit dark, but I actually love the aspect of the story. Our protag could've easily seen what was in her and what she said and ran away and really messed her up mentally, leading to the situations in other pieces that don't end well. But he manned up and saved and cleaned her in a way. Was a difficult way to find love but she managed to do so.
So based off page 21 is it safe to assume she went to a house warming party, only to get either drunk gangbanged or just flat out gang raped? Sad backstory if true but glad she found happiness and was cleansed from that bad situation with the one she loves.
This was honestly very nice. I like the art a lot, and the story is presented well with some more nuance and depth to it then you might expect going into it. I like these kinds of stories.

chapter is a masterpiece of subtle storytelling.
