People keep saying there's gonna be a bad ending to this. I honestly don't think there will be. Am I saying happily ever after? No. What I am saying, is that I could reasonably see a "Bonnie and Clyde" style ending. Being together, and on the run after killing the douche-nozzle husband.

Never end well. Either one will die or badly wounded in next chapter. Or worse.

Arisa is in a bad way. She tells the truth a few times in her speech. The part where she says she is "useless", "it's OK to hate me" I think she believes to be true. Those are things her husband has beat into her brain. The MC doesn't have the brains or the courage to save her. She will need a divorce, a name change, a restraining order, and years of counseling to to return to the woman she was before this marriage. All the MC offers is fists and a place to rest for a while.

What was needed was better decision making. And that on all of them poor life decisions around here the beatings the cheating regardless of the circumstances MC thinking that this could be solved without informing the Japanese equivalent of the authorities yeah all this turning into a bad for whoever has to respond to this.

I mean yeah, but you have to take in the mind set of every body at the time. He’s worried about her safety, adrenaline pumping,so he isn’t thinking straight. She’s just in a bad way period. Husband is just a douche. It’s easier to make the right decision when your in a rational state of mind and you can think objectively, but even though their are plenty of examples of what should be done, yet this same scene plays out all the time IRL.

Hmmm maybe I’m not understanding something here. Actually this scenario is pretty realistic. Guy finds out his old flame is separated because of douche bag husband and starts a relationship (happens irl). She goes back to husband (also happens irl). He finds out she’s being abused and rushes over to save her (At this point he’s only worried about her safety, and not really thinking about the right way to solve the problem, only worried that something worse might happen, tunnel visioning in only getting there on time, which is also a realistic response) Wife is worried that her psycho husband is going to kill the MC after cold clocking him, so she try’s to satisfy her husbands blood lust and ego so that he doesn’t kill ole boy, while simultaneously trying to push MC away because she feels guilty that he’s in this mess because of her. At this point she ready to cosine her self to this hell as long as MC can make it out (all plausible reactions irl). MC see’s what she’s trying to do, goes into a berserkers rage and blacks out while beating the shit out of the husband. Absolutely positive you can find this exact case in some police file some where. Actually, it wouldn’t surprise me if this was a xxx version of an episode of a crime tv program.
Everything is reasonably plausible to this point. I just get this feeling that weird hentai logic is about to come into play in the next coming episode, like her sleeping with MC lawyer, judge, police gang bang netorare route to get the MC out of this predicament.

I think the ending might be happier than some expect. After all, the husband is already been appointed in the front part of the shop after a screwup, so to speak, which suggests that he's not nearly as trusted by the family.

This chapter could've been written by Jim Thompson, Cornell Woolrich,
or David Goodis, who specialized in dark, gritty crime novels involving
sordid sex, self-destructive behavior, psychological disintegration, and
pathetic losers trapped in doomed relationships with dangerous dames.
