Interesting read, looks like the book Afterglow (Lindgren) actually exists, can't find a summary, wondering if it's relevant to the story or just background art for the story.
Remember "Girlfriend" by our Most High Lord - the fandom raged at the sad ending, until "Renai Sample" was released, containing the much sought-after happy conclusion.
Seriously, someone make an appointment for Nanigawa-sensei to go sit at the feet of Homunculus-sama, and learn "from the master" how to give us a satisfying vanilla-laced sequel.
Goddamn, I honestly didn't see that coming. I want to say there's still a chance, but these things don't usually work out so well. In the end, its up to the author...who can show us in a sequel...
They both have complicated families, and I just thought it'd be so perfect if they could be there for each other...
But that ending is just so...bittersweet. After saying something like that, he just...disappears, leaving her but a single note.
A really effective ending, definitely, but a little sad. I just wish they could have been happy together...
