Ya, some of those questions they kind of answer:
1) I think they probably do stuff like, anonymous donations, or she 'wins' free stuff, things that would normally seem like luck
2) I gotta think so, but I feel they don't say. I mean, they show his shirt with a camera, so is he really that oblivious? Plus, he's a guy, so presumably he knew about the show already?
3) I am guessing, yes, he is a fan that got lucky, otherwise, maybe they auctioned it off to all the fans (being her boyfriend) and he won.
4) Great question! Guessing only guys get the down low on the show.

My question is, isn't this a repeat of another story? I remember one very similar where someone was about to spill the beans, like a tourist, and the guys in the village all grab him or something. This plot is super familiar.
