"HURR DURR BUT DA FRIENDZONE DOESN'T EXIST NOBODY IS OBLIGATED TO FUCK YOU HURR DURR"

I see this arguement all the time in response to any mention of friendzone in this kind of situation, but ultimately it's because the person is assuming they're just being nice to a girl with the ultimate intention of boning her. A lot of the time the assumption is correct which gives the term a bad name. Just like how modern feminism is a complete joke.

A majority of the time, at least for me, it's when feelings catch but the other person doesn't feel the same so you're stuck feeling feels for them. Or more rarely, led me to believe they were interested then later decided they only like me platonically. Most of the time it can't be helped in either situation, but unrequited feelings suck.
