Hmm, not exactly many tags on display. Intriguing. I have to say though this one was a little...Depressing. She seemed like she was having so much fun with the guy, and it helped her get away from her problems at home...But then her mother decides to be a bitch and has the guy arrested while the poor girl broke down in tears, and now the guy she liked quite a bit is arrested because of her mother, all while she laments not being able to protect him from what happened. If anything this will just drive a deeper wedge between her and her mother, probably irreparably damaging their relationship. Not that it wasn't already extremely strained. Her mother is pretty effectively hateable, I suppose. For anyone who may not know, I believe the youth protection act is basically juvenile law, which in this case would apply in the sense that it's a relationship between an adult and a minor. So...She wasn't exactly an adult(18 for Japan) while he was, at 21. That's why he was arrested.
BTW, I'm using quotations because she isn't fit to be her parent. Hope there's a sequel where the female MC leaves her, bitch deserves to die alone at old age.
That was incredibly depressing. I hope for a sequel where she cuts the ties from her mother and gets back with her boyfriend somehow when he gets outta jail.
It's very confusing why it would have this title, but here's my take. The girl is the pigeon. When she's saying that she doesn't want to go home, it shows a pigeon flying over a barbed wire. The sign on the last page says not to feed the pigeons, and that's what he did. Even though all he did was give her what she wanted, he got in trouble because he wasn't supposed to. And she shit all over his life, even though she didn't mean to and what she really wanted was peace, which is what pigeons symbolize.
In the end, it's kind of a good intentions paving the road to hell situation. And a reminder that some beings just shouldn't be in the same space. And the real villian--her mom--is the only one who isn't punished. Unfortunately, bad parents are the norm in the real world. And laws are too focused on upholding rigid beliefs to actually improve the world.
Copied from Wikipedia:
"In Japan, the Japanese Penal Code sets a minimum age of consent of 13 regardless of gender or sexual orientation. However, the Children Welfare Act chapter 34 forbids any act of 淫行 (which can mean fornication, harlotry or obscenity) with children (here defined as anyone under 18 years of age) Specifically this is number 34(1)vi.
Municipalities and prefectures have their own particular laws, such as Tokyo's Youth Protection Law (Japanese: æ±äº¬éƒ½é’å°‘å¹´ã®å¥å…¨ãªè‚²æˆã«é–¢ã™ã‚‹æ¡ä¾‹) which prohibits sexual activity with youths who are under 18 years old in most circumstances though some add exemptions for sex in the context of a sincere romantic relationship (typically determined by parental approval)."
Except in japan you're not an adult until 20 legally. Was 24 before 1900's. Im not sure if it's define for like adult films but i think they can't even sign contracts until 20 too.
That's not the case. In Japan, contract law is so obtuse and vague that orphaned children are sometimes levied with the debt and made to pay it regardless of their age. It's why loan sharking is so damn profitable and impossible to regulate in that country.
It could be, seeing as you would typically be immunodeficient to catch the mentally effective strain... but it could just be related to the the Pigeons and the line on the last panel about them being shit birds with a link to her wish of world peace
I mean her being at seemingly a college mixer would make it pretty reasonable to assume her to be of age so I'd hope he doesn't end up actually facing prison time for this but damn that ending sucks for the guy
Japan's insanely high conviction rate pretty much guarantees this guy will go to jail. That defense also would struggle to hold considering he dated her for a while, and her school and grade were clearly stated at the beginning of the mixture.
Welp, I went from binging up to ep6 of Vinland Saga to reading this. It's 2am and I've got work in the morning. Guess I'm going to sleep with shit feels.
Sequel where he is out of jail and married to this girl is now required. I need a palette cleansing happy ending. It's not often the laws of the real world catch up to members of the hentai verse. Especially when they seem to be a good person like this guy here.
FYI, If you look through Kisen's catalog, you'll see that the fantasy hentai you mentioned is published in Wani magazines and all the stories based in the real world are in Bavel. So if you only want the fantasy hentai, read Kisen's works only if it appears in a Wani magazine.
Technically until your 20 you're not a legal adult but that youth protection act in the newspaper is akin to statutory rape here. Even though the age of consent in japan is 13 that only for anyone who not 20 or over which they guy was 21 and she was under 17. It's weird but meh. If he was 19 or under it would be a crime as long as she was over 13.
If this should have a continuation (and part of me hopes that it does), we may have to brace ourselves for some Deep Shit, at least as far as Kobato's home situation appears to be.
