Ya, more Elf Hussies!

This made me think of something randome.  Namely, that there must be two camps of Elves.  This is based on the long life, low number of Elves that are sterotypical in fantasy.  Either Elves are frigid and rarely fuck, and thus keep birth rates low.  Or Elves release eggs very rarely, maybe once a decade vs once a month?  Which begs the question of Elvish menstration. 
Or I guess Elves could just have a really high Infant Mortality Rate, but that is depressing and wouldn't Elvish lands be filled with little graves then?
