Eroi-Roe seems to specialize in weird tales that are darkly humorous,
or subtly disturbing. They're not lighthearted fantasies, that's for sure.
In this chapter, a deadly curse forces the MC to rape an innocent beast-
girl (for which he hates himself). Worse, the touch of his hand turns the
girl into a lusty slut (which he finds repulsive).
The reader may find this superficially amusing, but, for the moralistic
MC, there's nothing funny about it. To avoid death, he must rape and
corrupt a different woman each day. It's a soul-destroying curse.

Yeah, I found this to be an interesting conundrum to ponder since on page 7 he notes that he'd have to find a woman and immediately rape her but then says "no, rape is wrong and as a human being I can't stoop that low." So it makes one wonder if he did resort to rape every day just to live, would he even be okay with his existence? Or would he have to forgo an aspect of his humanity to try and live with himself?

It's a truly fascinating premise.
To free himself from the curse, the MC must either:
(1) Kill himself, or allow himself to die.
(2) Go on raping until he's hunted down and killed
by a mob of vengeful fathers, brothers & husbands.
(3) Go on raping until he catches up with the Dark
Elf and somehow forces her to remove the curse.
The last is obviously the "happy ending" (relatively
speaking), but even then, the MC would have to live
with the memory of all the raped & corrupted women
he left behind him.
It's a truly fascinating premise.

The situation is the result of two extremes of thought colliding. Poor beast girl got caught betwixt. At least he saved her from goblin rape and she got a satisfying ravishing, out of him raping her? He didn't brutalize the poor girl, at least? It's all so thoroughly conflicting.

IN-teresting start IMHO ... seems that some MC's don't primarily operate with "the head below his waist". Perhaps there's more to his reasoning as to why MC refused Dark Elf-san's offer, but then maybe artist-san might elaborate on that later.
