So, I guess his friend that spiked the ball right into her face was actually just him being a wingman, I suppose. But the real wingman was her friend and his Osananajimi, what with her coming in and straight up letting him know that our main girl likes him and giving her an encouraging push.
Great ending though. Ah yes, when her trying to be helpful as a wingman gets misunderstood as affection instead. Also, it's good to know that even though her Osananajimi is dating her friend, it wasn't like she liked him too or anything like that since she already has a boyfriend and can be happy in her own time.
You know, Kana didn't *deny* it at the last page...
But then again, her face on the last page is less "embarrassment" and more "...Are you fucking kidding me?"
A scenario where the male protagonist's (female) childhood friend is not aiming for him, but is doing wingman duty for her classmate and friend ..... WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?
Ah, Well ... In The End, and with the aid of one well-aimed volleyball (or maybe two), the hookup was *a-hem* achieved at last. And sometimes, that's what's most important.
