Welcome back Namae Renraku!!
Ive always enjoyed Namae Renraku's work a lot. Their stories and situations always felt like a hentai fever dream/haze that always feel refreshing and different in that way that we don't get a lot in hentai.
My favorite Namae Renraku chapter is: The Man Near the Water's Edge, which can be
read and re-read with undiminished pleasure,
because it works on so many levels.
(At one level, the story seems to be an allegory
about Death, which is Deep Shit, indeed.)
OK where the !! HELLS THE VANILLA TAG !! Come on you guys, this needs a !! VANILLA TAG !! That's it a !! VANILLA TAG !! now... !! YEA HENTAI !! I'm out.
Linguistic Note:
Fumi addresses Katsuya as ojisan, which means "uncle."
It's also slang for "middle-aged man." At one point, she
refers to him, jokingly, as "my creepy old neighbor."
(page 9, panel 4)
From that, I conclude that they aren't related, and
that Fumi is basically calling Katsuya an "old dude"
in a friendly, teasing way---which reflects the fact
that there's a significant age difference between
them, and that they know each other very well.
Most of Namae Renraku's stories seem to feature
low-income men in their 30s and 40s who become
involved with odd young women.

Their first few chapters have always stuck with me, A Budding Tooth Bites Rotting Flesh & Parasitic Hysteria.
-Update-: just got the color illustration for this chapter of Fumi-chan, X-Eros Girls Collection #105: Namae Renraku.

by Namae Renraku---who is arguably the most
brilliant mangaka on Fakku. I love his work.
