Well... I got it, everyone! Sequel or we riot! *throws TWO chairs*
By the way: goddammit, Truck-kun! I told you you can't just try to kill everyone you see...
So, did Mizuki pass on to paradise, or is he somehow still holding on to life? And just who was Haruka scowling at? Answers needed, as might be expected, for ... er, "research purposes".
But it was cute in its own way, so I'll APPROVE it.
The ending is rather ambiguous. Either Mizuki died with a smile
on his face, or he's just barely clinging to life.
On page 15, panel 5, Hakura is scowling at a long-haired female
ghost (reminiscent of the "Ring Girl") who seems to have attached
herself to Mizuki, either out of love, or for a more sinister reason.
That's a remarkable panel, for it tells us a lot and leads to some
fascinating lines of speculation:
(1) Hakura has been able to see ghosts for years, which is why
she wasn't perturbed when she encountered Mizuki's ghost.
(2a) Hakura's scowling at the spook-girl because she's jealous,
or
(2b) Hakura is scowling because she's afraid the spook-girl has
cursed Mizuki and marked him for death.
If we accept the 2b line of speculation, and follow up with page 15,
panel 6 (when Hakura decides not to mention the spook-girl), that
raises a dark question:
Is Hakura reluctant to mention the spook-girl because she doesn't
want to tell Mizuki she knew all along he was fated to die (without
knowing when or how)?
By the way: goddammit, Truck-kun! I told you you can't just try to kill everyone you see...
