That ending wasn't good for the diabetes - too sweet. I think she was testing him to see if he actually wanted to be with her, so she lied or exaggerated about her initial intentions as the sole reason for wanting to date him.

Well this was an wholesome as it gets really. She may not have had entirely pure motives to begin with but she was there for him the whole way and we were blessed with a sweet vanilla ending that warms the heart.

Surely there must be out there on the World Wide Web a trusted study of the pros and cons of the effect of sex upon athletic performances.
Study and its content needed for ... er, "research purposes".
Nonetheless, it could probably be argued that what ultimately pushed MC to success as a pro athlethe is not something that can be easily quantified by scientific research. So in the end, it may be enough to simply say:
"Well Isn't That Cute? ... BUT IT'S RIGHT!" 😘ðŸ˜ðŸ¥°

My favorite detail is that Miyako was also giving her all as much as Gou-kun. On page Page 3 you can see that her fingers are cut from making Gou-kun's lunch. And years later after they're married with a kid, she's still nicking her fingers when she cooks Page 24 ❤

She has cut fingers on every frame, except when he goes to tournament and she backs off because of gossip. When the reconnect and she is contemplating ending it, you get to see her without bandages on her fingers.
@Eddie: But yeah. After that, she goes back to cutting her fingers making meals ;D
