I hate this.
I guess I hate a lot of stuff, especially rape apology stories, but this was a special disappointment for me.
"From Friends" is one of my all-time faves on this site. The noncommittal, casual nature of their hookup hits all the right notes.
To see that they're now pair-bonded partners, living together, playing out tropes of jealousy and emotional abuse—not to mention the guy's piggish, 20th century approach to his sexual partner's body—is deeply upsetting.
