...I think the moment their minds went blank, all of ours did as well.
Seriously, WHAT. Either I'm too stupid to understand how deep this masterpiece that may even transcend Shakespeare, or...
Actually that might be it.
I don't know why, but I'm finding all these works by Sakurai Energy uplifting
Any time I see anew one it kind of brightens my day keep up the good work
A parody of shounen, particularly heroine-driven shounen, and giant-battling shounen; a mockery of us expecting a heroine-driven shounen hentai, and/or those thinking (like we have much choice) perverted thoughts while viewing shounen heroines; a sucker punch ending to deliberately insult our intelligence, and make us feel silly for actually getting absorbed into the story.
And yet, the ending is deep and dark enough to make us uncomfortably reflect on how often we tend to under-appreciate the sacrifices of heroes/heroines, and even feel sorry for the alien. Indeed, subtly and effectively as a whole--to some great surprise--, this "out of the blue" parody dually works as a satire of humanity, shounen genre and respective sub-genres; and those who make, watch, and demand such manga/anime.
THIS WAS FUCKING BRILLIANTLY HILARIOUS/HILARIOUSLY BRILLIANT!
Oh, good work Sakurai Energy, good work! And I gotta say...honestly...after reading pages 09-12 of this, I realize now that--THIS IS HOW NEON GENESIS EVANGELION SHOULD'VE ENDED!
