This is some awesome vanilla and 40 pages of it no less. Suffice to say this has been added to my favourites and I am now following Mikuni Mizuki sensei.Â
[Sits down on chair and waits patiently for more releases.]
I've loved the other works from Mikuni Mizuki I've read before, and this is another great addition. They're really good at making very pretty female characters and nice stories. Hope we get a lot more of their stuff on here, because more people need to appreciate their works.
Wow solid 40 page read. Really like how it took the female friend wanting to date her bf for her to realize that she had legit feelings for him. Very sweet.
I like that title, goes really well with that sweet Vanilla tag.
40 whole pages of sweet Vanilla goodness. Also, girls like her really make me want a Kuudere tag of sorts.
Also, in a way, her friend asking her to let her give him a try if it doesn't work out was probably the perfect push to the back she needed. I mean, it was a little forceful, but at least it made her realise she really did like him after fearing she would lose him to another girl.
The moment she started to tear up and he realised she did love him and just wasn't very good at showing it...I quite liked it, really. I guess the poor guy was feeling pressured or a little afraid that if he screwed up he would lose her forever, but it turns out she was just as scared of things not going well and that moment of realisation he had was pretty nice.
Great ending, too. She really is quite adorable.
Part of me thought that their classmates and friends would have felt "... a great disturbance in the Force", when Suzaki and Touko finally awakened to their real feelings towards each other. And as for that jaw-drop by the two guys on Page 40 at the "reveal" ..... PRICELESS!
Mikuni-sensei's Debut on (Wani-affiliated) FAKKU is hereby APPROVED!
Fun fact: On his Twitter, Mikuni Mizuki said that while making this, he was looking through his old manuscripts and thinking "How did you do this?"
This was great. The art and storytelling are still top-notch. Loved how the guy couldn't get it up at first due to his nerves but could after he felt reassured (this is added a sense of realism that a lot vanilla hentai don't have). My only criticism is that this feels more like shoujo manga with a sex scene than a hentai with a plot, in that the percentages of pages that contained sexual acts is smaller than most other hentais. However, when thinking about the characters personalities, how they (and their relationship) developed, and the impact the sex would have on the both of them, it makes sense that the sex scenes would be brief.
It's a pretty ballsy decision to make your return hentai have a very short sex scene but I think Mikuni Mizuki knocks it out of the park.
Mikuni Mizuki is back! (for ero manga that is) And ofcourse I expected no less than such a killer chapter! Glad to have this amazing h-manga writer ^^ !
Ever since I discovered this h-manga writer 2 years ago I've been in love with his stories, quickly becoming one of my favorites!
I think this is a good oppertunity to hit us with a Mikuni Mizuki book eh! *hint hint
Yup. It's the same person. Mikuni Mizuki had a pretty long run in Kairakuten Beast beforehand though. Made several covers and had enough material for two books. Unfortunately that was before Fakku and Wani partnered up.
edit: after reading this comment, I just want to clarify that when I said "had enough material for two books" I meant that Wani has already published two Mikuni Mizuki books. My point is that these books were published before Wani partnered up with Fakku, so I don't know how likely it is Fakku translates and releases them here. Apologies if my comment was confusing.
wani are holding on to the intellectual properties for these works. so a publication of these could still happen as long as the artist is willing to make the redraws and it's deemed lucrative enough. edit from my side too: it wasn't confusing at all. rather, i thought that was what you meant in the first place since books usually get published 1-3 months after the last chapter appeared in the magazine. it wouldn't make sense for him to draw enough chapters for two books, then release a commercial manga for several years and THEN publish the hentai books. i just meant that fakku could release stuff that came out before establishing the partnership, like they've done in the past (a good example is homunculus' debut work which was originally released in 2011 and came to fakku a few years later).
