And it's not really a true reunion -- she never calls him by his actual name, or actually acknowledges their history. It just feels like a quick glimpse into what could've been between them, but is no longer possible -- very bittersweet at best.

No MC needs to find someone else. She’s obviously not interested in him. He even said his true feelings and she said nothing back to him. She had sex and sent him on his way home with a postcard. And I don’t think it’s a good idea to be in a relationship with someone who does sex work, man or woman because of the obvious.

Yeah seeing how this ended, I'd have to judge it quite harshly without a sequel. Felt more than a tad like a cliffhanger.
