Little ol' necro-comment here...Not sure who you were referring to when you wrote about giving that guy props on taking responsibility. If you're talking about Mei's real father, he should have stressed Masami ending her marriage with Togura and actually claiming responsibility instead of letting somebody else be the real man taking care of the kid who he thought was his. If you're talking about Togura, he simply didn't know his wife was just apparently leaching off him. And I hope you just meant you've seen a lot of marriages end with cold interaction between spouses. Deceiving your spouse into taking care of someone else's kid is the utmost spineless action that I think of and hope is pretty rare.
