Good lord, Iwashiro-san's character design is fucking flawless!!
A+ glasses and ponytail combination! Page 23.
Bonus points for getting super embarrassed when told she's cute. Which she absolutely is!
Suggested Cheating and Vanilla tags. While the L-word is not dropped, it's obvious that there are sincere feelings developing between characters here. It is also nice to see someone making a good decision about a bad relationship choice!
I only check Cheating tags, when it's from and artist whose style I really like and stop reading, if it's too depressing. However this is the kind of story I risk it for.
As soon as Sudou steps inside Shizuha's apartment,
she quickly strips naked, and pointedly removes her
engagement ring. Her intentions and motivation are
crystal-clear.
(page 12, panel 4)
So that douchebag fiance decides to cheat on his cute-as-a-button meganeko GF? I don't condone cheating but all is fair in love & fucking war. Plus, the MC would truly appreciate her for who she is.
This has got to be a Vanilla for being a story of two heart broken people about to start a relationship.
Glad the girl had broken up with the scumbag ex.
Perhaps one could look at the development as Iwashiro-san managing to dodge a bullet and escape what would have likely turned out to be a miserable marriage, and find herself a potential boyfriend (and maybe one day more) who likes or loves her for who and what she is, without trying to re-make her into something that suits him exclusively. Seriously, she'd better lock down Sudou-san to ensure that no-one else snatches him up.
As for (now ex-) boyfriend, I say "YOU EEDIOT!" (those who recognize the term will understand).
In The End, and likely by unanimous decision, Sakuma-sensei's latest offering is "APPROVED!"
I don't think idiot is harsh enough to describe my feelings about her "boyfriend". He is an awful human being, and I'm going to guess "abusive" would be a better word to summarise the potential relationship Iwashiro was heading into.
I'd say no, in the sense that a broken contract is considered void once broken. Marriage (and relationships in general) are a sort of implied contract that has expectations behind it, and breaking those ruins the trust that keeps it alive. Maybe it's not quite the soundest logic, but that's my opinion.
I mean, yeah, but this kind of development shouldn't really surprise anyone.
IMO still think it's better to break it off officially before doing something rash in scenarios like these, saves a lot of headaches, but Iwashiro has a guy now who appreciates her so it worked out in the end.

Its not an exaggeration when I say every Sakuma Tsukasa is 10/10.

There's definitely a strong resemblance. Wantan
Meo and Sakuma Tsukasa have similar art styles.
