That vanilla line is WAY too thin. Like someone else said in the comments, kind of a depressing mood on this one. You get that vanilla on two pages. One in the middle, and one on the end. Almost feels wrong to call this a vanilla comic based on the mood. But oh well, I'm not the only one here reading. Just my two cents worth.
Edit: After a couple of re-reads, the comic seems more vanilla than my initial impression. But, it is not so much depressing as it is sad. Shame those two never worked out earlier. But at least they are together now. :)
Yeah, for me when I read this thru the first time I thought this tale was teetering on the edge of being just a straight cheating tale but after reading it again, I conclusively agree with using the vanilla-cheating tag combo. I mean, just having a fight with your partner doesn't give you the justification to go and sleep with someone else but...there are fights, and then there are FIGHTS. Some squabbles are so major they cause irreversible damage to a relationship, which I think was inferred in this story. She was exiting Stage Left of the relationship, so the cheating was understandably vanilla for me. Also, there was some regret that says the MCs probably should have been together along anyway.
Now this is rare, a cheating scenario with a nice vanilla ending. Yep thus is definitely something you don't see very often. She delivered his dinner and added herself as desert.
Suffice to say she is waifu material and the MC had better let her keep making him dinner for the rest of his life.
The mood felt depressing... why did they even break up for her to get new BF's while he's still hung up on her given how he never got a new gf or sleep with anyone else
It looks like she let go of her BF & followed her heart instead(what with the change back to her old hairstyle). I don't condone cheating but at least she took responsibility in that regard before it got messy & finally committed to her love.
This is still cute but hopefully the next thing by Tatsu-sensei isn't peppered with pangs of guilt.
Now I say it for and on behalf of Tatsu-sensei: "A CHEATING SCENARIO IS NOT SUPPOSED TO LOOK THIS HOT!"
Even if part of me wants to believe that "cheating" is implied by the dialogue, gotta agree that, from the get-go, Natsuki made Keita "an offer he would have been *koff-koff* hard-pressed to refuse". In fact, their sexual chemistry as depicted does reinforce the question: "Why on earth did they ever break up back then?"
At least by the close, it seems that they're a couple once more, and more importantly, we're one story closer to a Tatsu Tairagi Tankoubon one day showing up on FAKKU.
Glad the stockings stayed on the whole time!
