That's not the point. NTR can be felt even on stories in which the guy was too afraid of confess to a girl and she started dating someone else. The point is the feeling of losing, not the society view. Is about 'you' the protagonist, the one on the POV to feel cheated upon in some manner.

NTR is feeling sexual arousal by having your beloved 'stolen' from you, it can ever happens on stories of mother of boy is being fucked by someone. Since the story is complete on the guy's POV it can be NTR since he loved her from before and she came back changed and while not 100% certain, pretty much pregnant with someone else's child.

This could be the prequel of a pretty good sequel. Where the dude gets rid of his ridiculous expectations of her not being a virgin when they did it and decide to go past through this and her pregnancy and adopt the child. That would be a great read, and a change, as i'm getting older, i'm more into sex with great stories. But who am I kiddin' right ? Well, let's just hope.
