Not only did this chapter feature a S-tier tomboy like Rin-chan, who's the definition of a perfect short-haired tomboy that's both athletic and confident but is also cute and innocent, but the icing on the tomboy cake is the fact that she's the osananajimi to a nice nerdy guy like Shuu and seeing them finally get together and confess their long held feelings, made this chapter 100% more wholesome!
Hinasaki Yo knocked it out of the park this chapter!!

I like this release. As a sucker for Osanajimi, Tomboy, borderline Tsundere vanilla, this hit the spot, and the fact that this is from Hinasaki Yo makes it even better. I get the feeling that Rin will get a chapter but I also think that we will see more of Tsumugi-chan as well as she tries to find someone to love. There is something about Tsumugi-chan that makes me think she is tired of being put on a pedestal and just wants to be treated like a normal girl for once.

I was sure Mei-san was a great wing person until I saw the dress in the final page. WTF was that monstrosity?

Side note - don't ask me anything moments before sex as I will say whatever you want. I once agreed to kill the queen of England, luckily it was for a DND campaign. Rin asking for those 3 little words moments before he could put it in was asking for trouble.

Actually, all the Rozen Maidens are dressed in Lolita fashion, based
on different styles from the Victorian Age. Shinku is the antebellum
Southern Belle, while Suigintou is the classic Gothic Lolita (think of
Alice dressed for a funeral).

would expect a tomboy to wear, which is the whole joke.

Although she looks odd by Western standards, Rin won't
attract much attention in Japan, where Lolita fashion has
become almost mainstream.

I have a friend that was heavy into EGL (Elegant Gothic Lolita), but even she knew it wasn't appropriate date attire. For one it is a passion killer trying to undo the clasps and under skirts.

I was also going off of Shuu's reaction, thinking it was the same reasoning (that's the best word I can think of) I had. Actually, come to think of it, it reminds me more of what Shinku from the Rozen Maiden manga/anime wears.

Yeah, I was thinking to myself that that dress is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. Kinda reminded me of the movie Dumb and Dumber when Harry and Lloyd went to that snow owl conservation function dressed in those butler suits.

Hinasaki-sensei doesn't miss. Yet another CULTURED release from an artist with nothing but a history full of them. Absolutely flawless victory for Shuu and Rin, leaving me once again very much looking forward to the next chapter in Hinasaki's plans.

Mei-san has joined the ongoing battle for Wingperson of 2022 ... probably she sensed repressed or suppressed feelings between our pair of childhood friends (Rin and Saeki) as early as Page 2. So when Page 7 rolled around, she kicked things into high gear ..... and it turned out to be MOST EXCELLENT!

So, while patiently waiting for the continuation/conclusion of "The Twilight Sometimes Whispers", New offering from Hinasaki-sensei is "APPROVED!"
