And during their trip to visit grandpa’s place, they have a bit of outdoor “fun”, only to be peeped at by a young couple, and the cycle continues...
It makes me extra happy knowing that marriage between cousins are allowed in Japan.
It's even legal for first cousins in a surprisingly large number of states (IIRC, wikipedia has an article talking about where it is and isn't legal in the US), though it definitely carries a social stigma in the US at this point, and there are genetic reasons why having it occur regularly in a population can be problematic, even if you don't consider it a moral issue. Japan certainly doesn't view it as negatively though.
Good info @Serypti, I always had assumed they meant 2nd cousins when I saw that. Interestingly enough, studies show that people are attracted to people who look like them, probably as part of a genetic favoritism mechanism, which is why adult siblings who grow up seperate have a very high rate of sexual relationships when they meet as adults. Appearently the 'incest instinct' only kicks in on those you grow up with.
@Serypti first cousins can legally marry across most of the world, and used to be somewhat common. It's relatively uncommon in the western world today, though. It seems only prudish nations like the USA get worked up about it, though.
I can't help but wonder if grandpa was playing wingman or something. Anyway, if I were to sum up my thoughts about this manga, it would be: Beautiful (and hot too)!
Hmm...Why did she reject him back then, indeed.
Well, maybe the mood wasn't there or something was missing...or I guess the timing just wasn't right and we weren't supposed to get an outdoor sex type of release.
Instead we got a reunion themed release, which is definitely great too.
Either way, I don't really blame him for what he tried to do back then, I think considering the situation it was a somewhat natural reaction. She may not have accepted his advances back then but at least she did this time, after reuniting a few years later.
Historically, in many parts of the world, cousins marrying cousins was perfectly normal. That being considered bad is more of a recent thing - even in the West. But it seems that Japan has historically had a _much_ looser view on incest than the West has:
