this book is a Shindo L masterpiece. if you are a fan of Shindo L, you know this book. it is both famous and infamous, for a reason. i love his art style, the way he draws EVERYTHING is top teir. even alot of the niche themes he covers, is a plus. but only for those who look for said niche themes. this book is not for everyone. but its 100% for me. even this being a hard cover high quality book. highly recomended book for his fans.

Beautiful edition to the collection, love the size and detail on the cover

If you're on the fence about this don't even second guess it. Everything about this is a masterpiece. The infamous metamorphosis in a beautiful large hardcover book! The pages are printed beautifully and the extra content is definitely worth the read! If you're a fan of this story don't sleep on it because the glossy and matte detailing on the outside of the book are awesome‼️

The GOAT returns and it's more than just a hardcover re-release. The original story's all there, but with additional 200+ pages of behind-the-scenes artwork and commentary, plus an interview with the man himself. If you don't already have a physical copy of the original you need to get this immediately. Even if you already have the original physical this will serve as a nice addition to the collection.

If you know, you know. The artwork for this story is outstanding, and this hardcover edition exceeded my expectations by a mile. The covers are embossed with textures and evoke the fractured mind of the protagonist. There's even a bookmark like you see with other non-H hardcover printings. The additional commentary and interview with Shindo L is fascinating, to be able to hear their thought process on each scene is so interesting. If you like the art or the story of Metamorphosis, I cannot recommend this edition enough, absolutely worth the money.

the hardcover is absolutely beautiful

An amazing story of an ordinary girl and her adventure in slowly but surely spiraling out of control being at the mercy of the underworlds worst of the worst. A must read for anyone that is looking for that read that will keep you turning that next page and craving more.

This book is of course a re-release of the original paperback, this time in hardcover and with a ton of additional bonus material. The story itself is dark and brutal and doesn't pull any punches, not unusual for Shindo L but seriously, this is not remotely vanilla. But since it's a re-release I won't focus on reviewing the story.

The actual physical hardcover is great, very nice and solid quality form factor with good use of gloss and embossing on the cover. The first half of the book is the original story, a little bit shy 250 pages. The rest of the book is almost all sketches with commentary from the author, giving a lot of interesting background on how the story and art evolved alongside of the editorial decisions. I wouldn't necessarily want to read all that on just any random story but for a unique book like this makes for a lot of insights.

Honestly even just the digital version to read the sketch commentary is probably worth it, but if you can I'd seriously consider the physical hardcover as it's well made and stands above the normal paperbacks (which are actually of good quality).

You know why you're here. Whether you know it from a different name or now we've all seen the memes. It is a beautiful work of despair and tragedy yet a warning of the evil in life. ShindoL truly makes a masterpiece that whether you appreciate the art, hentai, story, or message; it can be something truly magical and worth of Fakku's first hardcover book.
