WHY NOT BOTH? ... oh wait; IIRC, the daughter in that other series disapproved of her mother moving on her boyfriend. Unless that obstacle is 'fixed', the "threesome" sequence is IMHO unlikely.
Hah, what a wingman of a mother. It's kind of nice how upfront she is in...cheering her daughter on.
Though it's also because he jokingly said she should join him and she kind of...well, grabbed his dick.
Also, I already know what's a good job for him. Marry her and help out with the business sounds like a good idea.
Great ending though! Even her mother is already treating him like family. Yep, work harder, and you have essentially no right to complain. The fact that he acknowledges this, well, makes me like him as a protagonist.
Tee-Hee-Hee ... seems Matron-san is letting Higo and Mikoto know (in no uncertain terms): "I Want Grandkids." A few (a-hem) "strategic moves" to help Nature (a-hem) "take its natural course" helps things along, too. Page 4 - in contrast to Venus rising out of the sea, Higo rises from under the water ... and no doubt something also started rising a few seconds later (wink-wink, nudge-nudge). And by the close, "A Mother (or perhaps we should say, A Mother-In-Law-To-Be) Knows".
Oh yeah I was waiting for this one! Ah! This is so heart-warming! I'm really happy for both of them. Being crushed by work, then leaving it only to find love together! I ask for a sequel cause we need marriage, baby making and inheriting the hot spring!
Okaa-San (bursting onto the scene to jarring musical chord and a sly grin on her face): "No-One Expects the Okaa-San Inquisition!"
*crickets chirping*
... I'll just leave this right here on my way out.
