Nana & Kaoru, Vol. 01

Even if you've never read it, Ryuta Amazume's art style is instantly recognizable and Nana & Kaoru is probably their most well known work.
We get the first three manga of the original series contained in Volume 1 sitting at 612 pages. Can't wait for Volume 2!

This is a must buy for any hentai connoisseur!

Very few things are an "instant buy" for me, especially when it comes to hentai or things that are hentai adjacent.

This series is one of them, straight up one of the best depictions of romantic BDSM you can find.

I know this story isn't for everyone, but I really do love this story. There are parts that make me cringe, there are some parts that I dont want to be caught reading. On a personal level, I am happy this was released in English and glad to support it.

The artstyle is unique and the story is getting into situations for the first time and the characters handle each scenario from each chapter. Overall, a great read.

It's a cute story but very very very slow and no payoff

I was so goddamn happy to discover that N&K is being released in America, I accidentally reactivated this FAKKU! account I legitimately forgot I had! Oh well, time to let my weeb flag fly again!

I was introduced to N&K via ... I can't remember, actually. I don't know if I read it on a pirate site like Eat Manga, or if I saw a recommendation of the title from Live journal, DeviantArt or 4Chan. I was a completely different person, going through what I can unironically say was the worst time-period of my life, when I first read this manga; fan translated, janky compression and all.

N&K left an indelible impression on me. But let's not kid ourselves: the first book (of the three in this omnibus) is rough. Kaoru is just an ass, the art can't decide if it's trying to be tittilating or not, the artist is trying to find this story's voice. Somewhere during the second third of the omnibus, things start clicking, and suddenly - I am along for the ride as our odd and frustrating couple are trying to connect, crashing together and falling away, only to actually connect ... maybe? But not really, because why would they actually connect, they are from such different worlds, but ... Wait, Tachi? What are you doing here?!

There are more volumes to read, so I'll continue to ramble on those, however:
N&K was and remains a very important work to me. It came into my life when I was at my lowest, and left an incredibly powerful mark on me. The fact that there is a Legitimately translated physical book release that I can buy, own, and cherish is something I hadn't considered possible until 2 days ago, and I have been moved to tears reading this story again for the first time in half a decade.

But the first 200 or so pages are still unironically janky and a rough read. Not because of the localization, though, that is pretty stellar! I can't wait for my physical books to arrive!

Bought this by chance…had no idea I would enjoy it as much as I did…not so much a bdsm fan or such…but reading this 600+ page book, without the release of any creampies was like the challenge of someone else controlling the release…if that makes any sense…wow…

The story line is so good, the character development actually keeps you wanting to know more. This is one of my absolute favourites and I own it digitally, and by trade in English and Japanese. 10/10 would recommend

So glad FAKKU got to release this series, so many ecchi series and other genres get to censored or mistreated FAKKu did great and hope more like this comes to the site.

It's not hentai, but that's perfectly fine. This series has gotten close to having an English release before but nothing ever came of it as far as I know. I told myself years ago that this is one I would support given the chance. Well that time is now and the wait was worth it!

The physical copy is fantastic. It's an omnibus which is something that's usually not my first choice when buying manga, but this is a high quality print like all of Fakku's other books and it gives you much of the color artwork from the various releases of the series. Looking forward to the rest and hoping that Fakku also does Black Label as well.

The book paints a really detailed picture of this couple's relationship and interest in BDSM, leading to a book that's definitely sexy (even if not explicit), but more than that, it's a fun and entertaining exploration of what BDSM can mean to people who are discovering their sexuality and how it relates to the rest of their lives.

Genuinely a fun time, can't wait for the next one!

One of my favorite artists can’t wait for the next volume

This manga was one of the few ecchi series that I’ve read repeatedly, back when Manga Rock was still around, and I still remember it even to this day. It taught me about how to care for someone, how to praise, and how to protect. The fact that this story made it to FAKKU shows how much of a classic it is, I’m honestly crying inside because I’ve missed this story so much. Thank you FAKKU for bringing this manga back into relevance.

It's fun watching the girl become a sub. However their points were things move a little too slow for my liking.

So what do we have here but volume one (omnibus edition, so volumes 1-3) of Nana & Kaoru. Now, to be clear up front, this is an softcore work, the no sex tag is quite accurate. There's not even really much nudity, all you're getting of that is a few images from Kaoru's porn, you're not going to be seeing any Nana. Sexy Nana yes, but no naked. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but don't be surprised expecting the usual hardcore stuff from most FAKKU releases.

Now what is this all about? It's a basically a young love story featuring a ton of BDSM. You've got your loser teenage guy, bad at school, bad at social skills, into porn and whatnot, and with a thing for BDSM stuff. And you've got your polar opposite next door childhood friend who's the #1 girl in school. And through a series of events she ends up discovering that being dominated by her friend is great stress relief and so now we have a ton of stories of her getting run through BDSM things; bondage, some exhibitionism, inappropriate urination, that sort of thing.

If you're into the fetishes, it's great, you're getting a ton of material. And the story itself is fairly nice, we've got a ton of pages here (and the end isn't even the end) so it's not afraid to go slow, building things up and gradually introducing new and fun things. A few times it gets into "let me explain bondage to you!" monologues which stick out a little, but it only does that a little bit. I do appreciate the detail and depth and care in some of the bits, like the little chapter that's mostly showing all the work Kaoru put into treating his ropes to make them comfortable for tying up Nana adds some nice realism.

Now, lets talk about the amount of content here. This book is over 600 pages! Certainly for the ebook it's great value, for a ton of erotic stuff! Now for the physical book...the book itself is great quality, but I'll be honest, I actually don't really like the ultra thick omnibus format. If there was an option to buy a copy where it was the original three separate volumes I would've preferred that, even at a higher cost. The level of thickness makes it kind of awkward to hold and read, and also makes it less convenient to shelve or store. I still prefer having it to no physical book at all, but the size does not excite me.

The content is of course all fairly unique, 25 chapters of ecchi goodness that you're not going to get from a subscription here.

This is a really entertaining and rather sweet tale of two young people finding a shared interest to help alleviate the stress of coming of age and planning a future. This is definitely one worth reading all the way to the end and across the different series.

Unlike others here, I did not know about this title before, and just want to see lewd BDSM images. However, after finishing half of it, I like the story. It is like a romantic story (not really, but it gives that feeling). I really want to know what will happen next, and I can say that I fall in love with Nana now (she is so cute).

However, there is no full nude in the book, and that is why I give it 4 stars (yes, the story is very good, but I expected more lewd art that this). If you are okay with that, I recommend trying this one.

I remember stumbling upon this title when I was looking for bondage/bdsm pictures. I stumbled upon one of the pictures that can be seen in this book. Once I saw it, I fell down the rabbit-hole and eventually found the title. After that it was a matter of finding a site that had fan translations and reading my heart out with them. It’s amazing how the first chapters grab you and show off what is gonna take place through the rest of the series. And now with an official translation and distribution, many more can enjoy it. It’s a work of art in the style and storytelling. Anyone who likes compelling narratives and beautiful brush strokes will absolutely adore this work.

This was an instant buy for me! But I'm holding off on reading it in its entirety until I get the physical edition. Perplexed why it hasn't shipped out even though I'm seeing haul reports on Twitter from other distributors... Anyone have any ideas on that?
From the first chapter I've read, the lettering is phenomenal, and the translation is great as well! Excited to dig in.

Not usually into BDSM, but this manga won me over by just being that good. It's really light stuff, so look elsewhere if you want some hardcore bondage porn. Good if you want a fun, happy romcom with a kinky twist!

A good slow burn, but a fantastic read. The opening chapter and the build up, reminded me of a time long ago with my childhood friend. The bit where his heart told him he'd no longer be in her future... hit so close to home. It felt too real.

Like every purchase I make on Fakku curiosity made me want to read this and I glad I did. Beautifully drawn quite intense and times but also quite often very funny I highly recommended this as a Must Buy look forward to when next lot of volumes are released.

This is litterally the story that got me interested in h/ecchi manga. Which is how I found Fakku all those years ago. It is 110% worth the read. Do yourself a favor and get ready to get giddy because the story line in this will have you squealing like a 14 year old girl meeting her favorite boy band.
Pre-ordered this without hesitation. I really hope Fakku keeps up with the releases.
