Great opening, and a great ending as well. I find it interesting the way this was shown, where we see the conclusion at the beginning before seeing what led up to it in the ending. Yes...I like this protagonist. For the sake of his love, and in order to not tarnish her family name, he decided to use the magic trick as a way of disguising her eloping with him essentially as him 'kidnapping' her via the trick. That way all the blame falls on him and not her. But considering what we see in the first few pages...They seem happy. A loving, lasting relationship filled with freedom and sweet Vanilla. If I was in the theater at the end, I would certainly give him a standing ovation as well. But seeing as I'm at home in front of a computer...I'll settle for clapping from here.
I thought it was kind of a spoiler. If it hadn't started with that, there would be a little tension when they met the first time. You would be wondering what happens until the end. I think I would have preferred not to be spoiled.
Cheating vanilla, such a beautiful combination.
I like the fact that the artist doesn't try to force this into a perfect world where everybody is happy, you have to give up something in order to achieve.
Now... A SEQUEL WHERE THEY COME BACK WITH THEIR KID(S) AND TAKE HER GRANDFATHER WITH THEM!
