Great ending though. I do so love me some sweet Vanilla, and hey, they get to be together, AND earn a living together, working at the same place.
I was going to suggest they get married, because really if he's already supporting her the way he is they may as well make it official. Maybe once they can earn enough to possibly provide for another...family member, before they get married.
Also, accepting or rather 'catching' the kindness thrown your way, as he puts it, was something I thought would come naturally to people, but I guess not to some. At least now that he has accepted her now, I feel they can be happy together.
