I think it's the latter. However, I also think it's intentional so that the artist can essentially make a shota character without the character being young enough to qualify as a shota. A loli example of this would be Michiking's "Memento Amor"Â

I always like seeing the ❤ mark in the title. Also, those horns really fit them nicely.
I find it interesting that when he finally decided to complain to them about what they do to him everyday, he immediately backed down when they gave him a teary eyed appeal.
