Not really sure, at the moment, if I'll be continuing this in comic form... but if so, there's probably the potential for her to meet nicer, fuckable demons later on. But this particular vignette was meant to resemble a video game sequence, particularly classic side-scrolling action titles like Spartan X, Double Dragon, and Shinobi. Thus, Polly's a silent protagonist, the enemies are all simply evil things that must be sliced up so that they go "poof", and there's a boss at the end, complete with two bad dudes to rescue.
I did mean to continue the series with a "Stage 2" but I ended up actually wanting this to be a videogame. I went on to design a bunch of sprites and a boss for the first stage, then finished about 5 frames of Polly's animation before I got tired. Plus I remembered I'd kind of need a lot of funding and a staff of artists and programmers to fully realize the concept, and yeah, easier said than done.
Anyway, be it in the form of a game, or just going back to comics, I do want to go back to Polly someday. Tell your friends about her!
I would totally buy a book of your work! But this was especially great. The gender role reversal of the rescue was great. At first I was confused though because I was reading Right to Left, too much H...
Well ... the "hero's reward" seemed to work back in the day for Conan The Barbarian ... gender equality suggests it should work equally fine for a female sword-master.
For a moment there I thought she was just going to fuck the monsters to death, or something like that.
But well, I guess having the people she saves 'repay her' works as well. What awaits her on the second floor? And the third? fourth? and many more after that...
They actually have an old comix where that was the plot, called Spunky Knight. She literally drains a vampire dry. I didn't pick it up when I had the chance, and now the collections are pricy.
