There's a lot to unpack this chapter.... and I desperately want more information!!

My theory is that Miwa was doing paid JK sex work and might of accidentally injured or killed a client that was into getting choked.
-Miwa being very visibly shaken in the shower
-asking Imada-kun if he's a virgin and "repaying his kindness" with her body
-while having sex, she asks to be choked and says "so... this is what... its like", meaning she didn't know how it felt
-having patrol cars out looking for her means its probably something serious
-the police finding her bag with "incriminating items" in it

Pretty heavy stuff to be sure.

Possibly, trivial vanilla-esque plot twist: she has simply witnessed the crime (perpetrated against a relative or friend) and the disposal of the bag, and now she is suffering from some kind of PTSD. Hahaha

Heh, true, but let's say it is more so than the alternative. At least the girl would be innocent and not a murderer, and could get a "vanilla" (sort of) ending with love and frills and sexual healing. But who knows, maybe she is guilty, maybe she is the victim (of an attempt, meh, unlikely) or maybe the crime is totally unrelated.

Personal Speculation: Miwa finally snapped and offed whoever had been likely abusing her, dumped the implements into the river, just might have jumped in herself when spotted by Imada-kun, and in seeking to *koff-koff* "repay" him for giving her shelter, revealed in part what she had been subjected to. And gives a response to Imada commenting on police cars passing outside that could potentially raise one or more red flags.

... Or maybe she was trying to leave some 'evidence' of the abuse she'd been subjected to by having Imada choke her. If she had been abused in some way, and the perpetrator had not left any marks on her body, then perhaps she decided to take advantage of Imada letting her stay over to create some evidence herself; his hands very clearly left an impression on her neck, and given enough time, there would be some bruising. After that, it would only be a question of whether or not the police would actually be able to tell that her victim didn't put their hands on her throat.
