68 pages. Hmm, that description definitely intrigues me, though!
The camera, "That's something my ex left here"...There were definitely signs that he isn't exactly the best kind of person. And the moment he mentioned something about a video for money, not to mention he doesn't feel guilty...Well, he's definitely scum.
I suppose you could say that just makes what happened really cathartic. He got just what he deserved.
And definitely, props to that guy who saw what was happening, and shouted at her to stand up to him because she had a right to fight back, also he's a scumbag that deserved a beating anyway. And later on, everyone was cheering her on from the sidelines!
I suppose scumbag guy can kiss his scholarship/recommendation goodbye! And she managed to get over it if that ending panel, so that's good. This was definitely a great release, really interesting read.
Glad the rest of the students ended up siding with her and they weren't just a bunch of blind idiots that couldn't see the girl was being taken advantage of. It was rather refreshing. In these scenarios, it seems like kind of a cliche in manga that normally her classmates would label her as a slut, make fun of her, girl gets depressed and starts considering suicide. That's the direction I was (unfortunately) expecting it to take as, again, most manga with similar scenarios always seems to go in that direction. Really glad justice was served in this case and her classmates weren't a bunch of judgemental idiots (after the shock of the initial video getting out and people had time to consider her situation).
Yeah, it's aggravating how the "control the girl by spreading sex videos" trope is so frequently played straight, considering how it could (and should) be a two-way street at minimum. It's nice to see it go in the other direction to someone who kinda sorta really deserves it. I also thought that this was gonna go down the suicide route... happily surprised.
First, love the art sort of forces you to focus on the what is going on not distracted by excess. This is good story, this goes into the emotional folder. I have a new artists to follow I really hope we see more from them.
