Hmm...With an ending like that, I feel like it could go either way. The prequel set it up, and this one...Doesn't resolve it just yet, especially with that ending that shows just a bit of hope, just a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel.
Either he decides to go on like this and just pretty much breaks her completely (or is she already?) or he might change his mind after remembering their childhood together, possibly.
If a sequel does come, I know which end I'd rather have, but I'm honestly not sure how it will go.
But last page sure gives me the thought that there's still some hope left for him.
