The word you were looking for is “aircraft” not “airships” cuz airplanes are not considered airships.

Airships, or dirigible balloons, are lighter-than-air aircraft that operate from a lifting-gas that is less dense than the surrounding air, keeping them afloat. The three main types of airships are rigid, semi-rigid, and non-rigid.

The word aircraft describes an airplane, helicopter, or other machine capable of flight including Zeppelins.

My brother in Christ those airships are called zeppelins not “Nazi Airships!” 🤦†♂ï¸ Zeppelins predate the Nazi regime in Germany by decades have been around since the turn of the century and during World War One they were used as weapons by the German Empire to bomb London but by the end of the war they were obsolete by better airplanes with flaming ammunition.

During WW2 Nazi Germany did have a few Zeppelins but they were mainly used for patrolling their costal waters and other minor scouting. In fact the United States was the only major power to use airships effectively during World War II, and the airships played a small but important role. The Navy used them for minesweeping, search and rescue, photographic reconnaissance, scouting, escorting convoys, and antisubmarine patrols.

Today most people know of Zeppelins especially if you are American and have attended a Sporting Event like American Football you might’ve seen the Goodyear airship flying over the stadium promoting their tires.

What we do have so far is that these girls have actually lived in limbo for 70 years. When they sleep they begin producing WW2 era weapons…
