Well, she shouldn't cheat on her boyfriend, and a situation where she would rationally deserve any empathy when she cheated just wasn't in this story. So her being a good person is dubious at best. Only empathy I would give her childhood friend is she put him in a bad, temptational situation.
Hmm...All we know about her boyfriend is that he's a popular lady killer...But nothing exactly to make us not like him and root for this guy instead.
"Easy", huh...So I guess you do know you are taking advantage of the situation. That ending certainly makes things...feel complicated.
Yeah, being a lady killer can be dubiously placed on a guy. Does 1.) he cheat or gives other females more attention than his significant other, or 2.) is he just desirable to a lot of women and draws a lot of female attention? There is not nearly enough here to infer the first scenario, nothing to justify her cheating on him. And there is no rational moral code that says she's obligated to give her childhood friend some just bc they're childhood friends. If you want to give yourself to your childhood pal, then date that person.
