If you think about this concept of personal death by which she (or at least this version of her) was created at this birth in order to guide him to the afterlife after he dies, you realize that him dying and her carrying him to hades would mean she would "die" too. She would fulfill the function she was created for and thus would vanish/ stop to exist. But taking into regards that she stays lonely as long as he lives and solely waits for him to die, she must have the same attitude as a Meeseek and cheerfully awaits the day her existence ends. Really sad if you ask me...
